The Smoothie Factory

Got the groupon $ 15 for $ 30 but they’re in $ 10 increments. Similar to smoothie king but a lot less options. The smoothie was decent but I was displeased with the service and knowledge of groupon use. There was only one employee there and he have us a really hard time and his manager wasn’t there. The location is pretty out the way and hard to find if you don’t frequent that shopping center, I wouldn’t go back if I didn’t have a groupon. I’ll probably just gift them, not worth the hassle. Smoothies were okay but terrible customer service, will take my business back to smoothie king!

I’ve had my eye on this place for a while. Every time I leave Fitness Connection, I contemplate about going in and getting a smoothie but never got around to it until today when nothing was quenching my thirst in the Houston heat.
I tired to google a menu before going in but they don’t have one up on the internet. I decided to walk in and decide what to get then. They have a pretty decent menu. I just wanted something fruity so I got the «very berry» smoothie. I paid about $ 4.50 for a small, which I consider to be quite expensive.
When the guy turned to make my drink, I heard him open a packet and the whole time I just hoped that the whole smoothie wasn’t powder based because I didn’t really see him put any fruits in. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the small — the cup would classify as a medium at Sonic.
The smoothie itself tasted pretty good and it definitely hit the spot. However — I just kept feeling like something was missing. I don’t know what. Oh — I ended up getting a chunk of a blueberry so I am happy to note that he did put some real fruit in :). I just can’t stop wondering what was in the packet. I should have asked. I’m not sure if I’ll return but if I do, I plan on asking!

This location is next to the Fitness Connection so I see it getting lots of business from the gym. They have a nice selection of smoothies as well as supplements if that is your thing. I choose the after workout formula smoothie with a fiber add in. You get one free add in per smoothie. The only reason for the low rating is I bought a coupon for a deal site that said it was valid at all locations in Texas, and this location said it would not take them. If you are part of an franchise, you really should accept coupons that are meant to be accepted at all locations.
