Easy, leisurely walk… mostly all paved… a few highs and lows but nothing compared to other hikes in Arches. The trail is only about 1 – 1.5 miles to Landscape Arch and you can go beyond that into a more moderate to strenuous hike, if you choose. The stroll through Devil’s Garden on the way to Landscape Arch is beautiful. Definitely worth seeing! Fun fact: they mixed up the names of the Landscape and Delicate Arch. THIS one was supposed to be named Delicate, as you can see by how thin and«delicate» it is; «Landscape» Arch was supposed to be what’s called«Delicate» due to the high elevation and beautiful views surrounding it. The National Parks Foundation just didn’t want to re-print all of the brochures/documentation so they left as is!

The landscape arch is one of the widest(306 ft) and largest arch in the world! This 60 ft high arch was recently developed in 1991. It has been protected and fenced off from the public from potential collapsed. The hike is an easy 1 mile and you can’t miss the massive arch as you walk along the Devils Garden trail. Make sure you come early in the day. I would stop by to see this arch first before you head further out into the trail to see the other arches. You can spend a whole day here and there is plenty more to see. This is a must see and I would recommend to bring plenty of water and wear plenty of sunblock. Bring some snacks too if you plan to spend the whole day here.

Beatiful rock arch. The hike was not bad if you’re used to hiking it’s just 1.2 miles and the trail is well maintained and there’s no way of getting lost here. On the way to the arch you’ll see some amazing rock formations and the color of the fine sand beatiful rust orange. Nice to take pics at sunrise.

We did the side trails to Tunnel Arch and Pine Tree Arch, then ending at Landscape Arch and coming back. We went in the evening as the sun was setting so avoided the midday heat. Landscape Arch is stunning and different than the rest of the arches in the park, and is worthy of the hike. There are some amazing views along this trail. It is mostly flat with a few hills in some places and the last part up to Landscape Arch is all sand. I am significantly overweight and did this with little difficulty(just took some short rests at the tops of hills). Coming back didn’t take long and we made it back before dark. We didn’t have any trouble with parking and this was in the middle of July. Landscape Arch was probably my favorite trail in the park — very scenic with the high rock walls and the views of the landscape.

Beautiful giantic arch found on the devil’s garden hiking trail. About a mile into the hike and at the end of the gravel trail. This arch actually looks like it is framing the trees that are under it. This arch is a must see. The trail is fairly easy with no really steep areas. If you want a really clear picture and to really get an idea of how massive this arch is, continue along the sand path to the very end. Also a good idea to take a break here and enjoy the view before trekking back. Bathrooms are only found at the entrance of the trailhead. See this arch if you get the chance!
