Everything was wonderful. Give it a shot. You can’t go wrong. Portions are huge, beautiful, and delicious.

Chips were good. I got the shredded beef nachos. Fantastic! Chicken taco was good. My friend had chicken enchilada but she didn’t like the chicken.

I came here because the Unilocal reviews were good, but had I just got in my car and drove around I could’ve found a way better Mexican restaurant. We pulled up and it didn’t look like anything special from the outside but we didn’t want to judge the food based on the outside of the restaurant so we gave it a shot. The portions are big, but the food is just not good. I got the chicken burrito and the chicken was still pink and all the other ingredients seemed very un-fresh. And also«guacamole» here is just a slice of avocado. Not mashed or with other ingredients, just the avocado slice. The sauces here were also very strange tasting and not like the salsa/chipotle/verde sauces at other Mexican restaurants. My friend got the nestea raspberry iced tea from the fountain, which he gets everywhere he goes and both of us tasted it and we both decided it was actually dr pepper, which was weird because Dr Pepper wasn’t even an option on the soda fountain. Overall, just not a good experience, we both regretted it.

This place used to be a lot better until the new owners took over. They raised the prices and changed several menu items not for the better in my opinion. Ok spot if your in a bind, but there are other choices that are better for the money. Los jilbertos or even fiesta mexicana are good spots if your here in Moab.

This is quite simply the worst burrito I’ve ever had. Who the fuck puts fries in a burrito? If these fries were good it would probably be decent but they taste like shit. I can imagine the scene: the cook spills a whole batch on the floor, the fries stay there rotting for a few days until someone picks them up and stuffs them in the California burrito. I wouldn’t even feed these fries to a starving dog with AIDS. What else? Well they made us sit in the parking lot(if you like depressing parking lots in the desert it’s probably awesome) next to the trash(I checked, no fries in there: they were in my burrito). I ate there with a big group of friends and we were all convinced we would get food poisoning(a couple of us actually felt sick for a couple of days). It’s a shame to eat such crappy food in such a beautiful location(Moab is close to Arches national park, definitely worth checking out).

Very disappointed. The staff was not real friendly and the food was bland. They have a salsa bar and we tried them all trying to bring out the flavors. We ordered Chili Verde burrito and a chicken burrito. Large portion with everything wrapped in a good tortilla. The guacamole tasted like the avocado was soaked in water. No need to return.

Fantastic place — but it is now called El Ranchito Viejo. All items are a la carte but very affordable. Loved the carnitas taco and guacamole. Quickly served and very good.

Portions are huge. Service is ehh, she was laughing at me for ordering so much food, but like insulting me. And she was rolling her eyes. But it’s ok, food is good. Portion huge. I ordered chilaquiles with carne asada and it came with three over easy eggs(3!), rice and beans. She didn’t ask what sauce I wanted, I would’ve preferred red but it came w/green. Still awesome. Hubs ordered lengua burrito. Bomb. I also ordered al pastor and tripe taco. The tripe taco barely had meat. The al pastor came w/enough. Too much food anyway, didn’t care. Legit. Place is small, it’s next to a Chinese restaurant. They DESPERATELYNEED A NEWSIGN! Get a new sign, upgrade interior, watch ppl flock. Awesome food though.

The best Mexican in Moab hands down. Kinda weird location, behind a scary looking Chinese place, but the place is amazing. If the father is taking your order his daughter(7 or 8 years old) kinda translates for him. So some things might be slightly off. If the lady is waiting on you no problem she is very fluent and accommodating. Been going there for five years now and it is excellent., affordable and my favorite place in Moab.

Had carnitas. Wife had shredded chicken burritos. I came here due to the Unilocal reviews. We were very happy. Burritos were awesome. My friend got the fajita mix(shrimp, beef, chicken) that was great to. But the price and size of the burritos is a great combo. Eat half for dinner then eat the other the next day on your hike.

This place won my heart. Being that I’m from Los Angeles, I have tons of places to eat Mexican food but this place stands tall with the best of them. I had tried a burrito al pastor which was loaded with flavor all sorts of yummyness. When in Moab, you can count ill be coming back here!

I am not overexaggerating or lying: THEYHAVETHEBESTBURRITOS I’VEEVERTASTED. My husband and I are still dreaming about our burritos. No, we were not hypoglycemic from trail running/hiking. We were of normal appetite. Yes, the joint is a little hole-in-the-wall, but please take note, all the customers are Hispanic. I don’t think I need to say more. They know their sh*t! The carne burrito and the pork burrito are knock your socks off. When we drove down to Sedona after our stint in Moab, we were considering driving back to get some more food. Btw, salsa bar has some AWESOME salsa. Stop reading this and go. Hard to find the place, but it is across from the Chevron, behind a Chinese take-out restaurant. GO! Save the mom-and-pops too!

I LOVE going out west because I LOVE Mexican food! You just can’t get equivalent Mexican food on the East Coast! Mi Ranchito Mexicano is the REALDEALBABY! I wanted to try everything on the menu so we stopped in to nosh for a few days. we sampled the Chile Relleno, Carne Asada Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Frijoles, Guacamole, Beef Taco Salad, Cheese Enchiladas… everything was great! A little hole in the wall that is easy to overlook, it is run by a lovely Mexican family who keep the place clean and deliver great service and cheap, delicious eats!

Yep. This was just what the doctor ordered. During our pre New Year’s trip to Moab I was heartbroken to pull up and find Mi Ranchito closed for the holidays. It sounded like the perfect end to a day of hiking in Arches. Luckily, the sign on the door said they would be reopening the following night, so I swapped out Arches for Canyonlands and hit them up for dinner after a day in Island In The Sky. The menu is not as simple as some of the other Mr & Mrs Mexican joints I’ve been to. You’ve got the classic tacos and burritos, but you can also hit up your tamales, chimichangas, enchiladas, and put different kinds of meat in them for variety. Simple enough, but more than you’d get from a well-stocked taco cart for sure. Since I had burrito on the mind, that was the order. One burrito stuffed with carnitas and guac and beans and all the other good stuff. At $ 8 it was harder to swallow than their $ 3 cart cousins, but the pork was a grade higher(and less greasy) and it beats the pants off of the other dining options in town when it comes to value. You’re not going for ambiance or fine dining – there are plenty of those choices in Moab. You’re going for legit Mexican food at decent prices. Belly up to the booth and scarf it down. Or get it to go. Either way, it will hit the spot. They’d need to make some changes if they went to a bigger city, but it’s a great fit right there in Moab. Big props to Unilocal for pointing me here. It’s on the south end of town, and I drove right by it the first time. Look for the Chinese food place – they share the building, although they are two separate shops.
