I love that they don’t ever have adds on this station. You can control the music and so you really feel like you are getting what you want on the radio which is awesome! and I have to say that I appreciate the selection of most of the listners. This is a house heavy station and I love it! the one and only problem i have with it is that there is a lot of static that i get randomly to the point where i can’t hear the music sometimes. Otherwise I can’t get enough!

I didn’t even know about this radio station until people starting complaining that the Vibe was gone and replaced by some rock station. I like rock so I decided to check it out. Turned it on in my car, a song comes on that I like and then, all of a sudden, the song gets cut off. Something about«this song was voted off by our users.» WTF? I decided to investigate. In a nutshell, users go online and create an account. It only works online or via iPhone. Like you would suspect, you vote for songs. But there are some weird quirks. You get a certain number of rockets and bombs each day. Rockets send the song to the top of the playlist and bombs send the song to the bottom. If a song you rocket to the top gets played, a robot voice may announce your username. Excitement ensues. But the game doesn’t end there. Once your song is playing, if enough users click that it sucks, then the song gets taken off the air immediately. Pros: No commercials, except when they quickly plug the radio station. It’s a cute idea. Cons: The signal sucks. Apparently they are based in Moapa. The playlist is pretty limited right now. I only listen to the radio when I drive and I’m not going to be voting for songs when I am driving. I’m convinced teenagers are in control. There’s also a top 40 station at 96.7 that is run by Jelli. Exact same deal. But since I don’t really like top 40, I didn’t check it out.
