Four Star Service. Friendly, and kept our tea glasses full.
Three Stars for the facility. I always worry about someone else dinging my car in the woefully inadequate parking lot.
Two Stars for Speed of Service. A lunch place ought to be able to have it on the table in 20 minutes or less. Several other tables around us were served much more quickly.
I’ll be back to give them another chance.

I was honestly underwhelmed by my burger here. It was kind of dry. But I liked our server and the ambiance was very relaxed, making this is an ideal place to kick back on a Friday and forget about the working week. So it gets a thumbs up.

This is a regular place we come for dinner. The fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms are great to start. We normally each order the Soon To Be Famous Butch Burger (medium rare) and it’s always good; very juicy, flavorful and cooked just right! Our toddler usually enjoys a grilled cheese sandwich. I think our only complaints are the lack of variety for dessert and all the child high chairs have broken seat belts. Otherwise this is a great place to come and we’ve brought family here when they’ve visited from out of state. Highly recommended!

Alrighty, Butch Cassidy’s has always been one of our favorite lunch spots in Mobile. They have remained consistently great over the years. They’re absolutely packed daily for lunch and it’s totally worth the wait. The food as well as the service are both great. Do yourself a huge favor and try the Butch burger, you won’t be disappointed.

Local burger place with pretty good food. Parking looks like it’d be rough if it were a busy night. Our burgers were cooked perfect (medium) but the onion rings were over priced (pretty typical).

Butch Cassidy’s Café has a big reputation in our community for having the best burger around. I am just not sure I would say it is the best I have ever had or came close. Is it good? Absolutely! But it isnt something I would write home about. The fries are delicious though, much better than the onion rings.
Parking is a little hard to get to when its a busier night. But it is great for a casual pop in dinner. I have never ordered any alcoholic drinks from here but my husband likes their beer selection, even though its limited compared to most bars in Mobile.
All in all, I give it a C. Good but not great.

Aaaahhh, I HATE to do this, but I’m so saddened by our last visit here… it was a last-​minute decision on a football Saturday, just before an Alabama game, so it wasn’t too busy YET, so service wasn’t an issue. My husband had a sandwich with onion rings & yes, I had the burger, AGAIN, with fries. My patty was smaller than my bun (pet peeve) & I got about 10 fries while my husband got about 5 onion rings, which everyone knows you have to pay extra for ?? It was really bizarre. The food tasted fine, but the portions were not what we were expecting compared to previous visit. We’ll probably try the varioius other places I’ve bookmarked before coming back here. Really sad :(

If you’ve ever been to Butch Cassidy’s, you’d understand why people keep coming back — it’s darn good food!
I came in with a friend one day and we had lunch and appetizers. I don’t remember my entrée, but I remember the appetizers well. They were crab stuffed jalapeño peppers with a creamy sauce and they were SO good! I made myself save a couple for my hubby and son to try and they loved them too. The next trip, I had the daily special. It was fried pork chops, black eyed peas and rice. The plate had rice in the center, surrounded by peas, with a fried pork chop on each end. The cornbread had its own plate, which was great because it was like dessert. It was a pretty presentation, but it’s very hard for me not to be a messy eater and that wasn’t helpful. I tried to clean my mess. I certainly cleaned my plate.
The service was exceptional. They have free wifi, and it was pretty obvious that I was working because my laptop was in front of me. The bartender checked in on me and made sure I was content, but she didn’t check in to the point that it got annoying and interrupted my work (which some tend to do). She was pleasant and sweet. I appreciated her being so courteous.
The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food.
This is one of my new favorite lunch spots. I’d highly recommend checking the place out! Raindrops keep falling on my head…. Sorry. Had to do it.

Excellent burgers at a great price, less than $ 8. Potato salad was home made and also excellent. Service was exceptional. Menu has many interesting items to try on my next visit.

Absolutely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and I eat a lot of cheeseburgers! We always stop here (out of the way) on our way home from the beach just for a burger!

The burgers are decent and the fries are ok. There is not too much to complain about or get excited for here. It does seem to be a mainly locals place, which is cool. Also there was one night I was there that they had live music that was excellent! The atmosphere is kind of grungy in a old southern way.

GF and I came to try the burger and pork chops after hearing great reviews; it was good. Just good. The burger was ordered medium with sautéed mushrooms, yet came out well with raw mushrooms. The pork chops were cooked perfectly, but the rice and beans could have used a bit of seasoning. The sweet tea cup had a brown film that was revealed once we rubbed our finger across it. The atmosphere was comfortable and our service wasn’t bad. Worth a try.

stopped here on way to FL and ordered to go. Burger was decent. My issue is I did not get what I ordered. I ordered one with cheese and one with no bun and salad (and medium rare). Both came out well done with buns no cheese and no salad.
Rings were good. Thick onion cuts that were not overly battered.
I should have checked before I left (although the server assured me she checked), but honestly I would not have waited another 15 minutes for new burgers.
OK if local or if you dine in (which we should have just done).

Best wings in mobile… every time we are in mobile this is a must stop… bonus…during the week they are buy one order get one free… so bring a friend and chow down!

We LOVE Butch Cassidy’s for a casual meal. Everything is always fresh, hot & well prepared. My favorites include the «soon to be famous» Butch burger, the Reuben, the taco salad & the nachos. Oh, & the most wonderful onion rings EVER! It’s the best place for a laid back meal in midtown. Don’t forget to try a Bloody Mary!

After reading the review from Brian V. that stated, «Bartender told me to shut up when I questioned why there was a charge for take out boxes.» my boyfriend and I laughed. We instantly knew we would have to check this place out ASAP.
Parking is very tight, but we also arrived at the peak of lunch time and expected it. I had no problem parallel parking in the back, but another woman (and shitty driver) struggled for several minutes before hitting my car. There was no visible damage, however reconsider parking in the back if you are incompetent.
We walked in the restaurant, which had a fantastic atmosphere. Our hostess was friendly and seated us promptly. Our waitress was very nice during our stay. There is Wi-​Fi, which is also a plus. My boyfriend and I ordered the Outlaw Rings, since we read other reviews that said the entrees would take some time. We were impressed with how well they were cooked and the batter they used was amazing. They were golden brown and just the right amount of crunchy! I ordered the philly steak and added aus jus. It was also cooked perfectly, a hearty portion size, and tasted great! The potato salad was a good side option. My boyfriend had the famous burger, which was cheesy and juicy. He liked his side of fries. We were pleased with the whole dining experience and will return! This is about a 45 minute+ drive for us, but worth it.
