I’m no expert when it comes to Chinese food, but this is my favorite place to eat it.
In my opinion, the best thing on the menu is the orange chicken. Head’s up — those aren’t carrots in the sauce, they’re orange peels. Don’t bite into them. The Hunan chicken is also very good, as are the moo goo gai pan, sweet and sour chicken and the beef and broccoli. The fried rice and egg rolls are typical and the crab won-tons are a little better than average. They give you quite a few in an order too.
This place isn’t fancy. It’s a little divey, with a tv and a few tables, located in a strip mall. There’s no buffet, no ornate wood or oriental pieces. You walk in, go to the counter, order, pay and wait for your food. The food comes packaged in a to-go container and the drinks are in cans or bottles. It’s just good food, plain and simple.
We can feed our family of four in here for about $ 30-$ 35, and you can’t beat that.
