Outback used to use quality meats. Not anymore. Way overpriced for a fatty, tough piece of meat. Also, when I pay for a 19oz steak I expect it to be at least close to that. The staff was nice enough but I won’t be back. There are plenty of good steakhouses elsewhere.

I have to admit, I am spoiled by top of the line quality meat and the grade of meat at Outback simply doesn’t impress me(they use Choice which is middle of the road grade available at your everyday grocery store). Their burger had good flavor but is too lean to my taste(they use sirloin to make it). If I was to rate this restaurant as a steak house, my rating wouldn’t be very favorable. There are some redeeming factors, however, that keep me coming back – the salad with ahi tuna is addictive and I would buy a big jar of that dressing if I could, – some of their appetizers are very good, – the great service, – the decent and fairly priced wines, – the feel of the dining room and the outdoor sitting. I guess it is a sad advice to tell people to ignore the steakhouse part and go enjoy other things there but this is exactly what I am recommending.

We eat here every now and then. The food is pretty good and the service is acceptable, though not great. Last week though made me vow to never go back. We are seniors on fixed incomes so we don’t have an unlimited budget for eating out. We always use coupons when we have them. They usually only cover the tax but every little bit helps. We went in about a week before the end of March and had coupons that were good till April 1. When I showed them to the server she said«Oh we arn’t doing those anymore». Even after she acknowledged they were valid she insisted that that restaurant had made the decision not to take them after a few people had used them. I should have asked for the manager but I didn’t. We just left, went down the street to Texas Roadhouse and had a great meal. GOODBYEOUTBACK. Your future crapons will go directly in the trash.

We were at Outback for dinner tonight and it was awesome. The service, food mgt. we will definitely be returning. My steak was a little overdone and within minutes the mgr brought me another one with a fresh side, even though I had eaten mine. Our waiter(Chris) kept apologizing We told him it wasn’t his fault. He was very very good. If planning a visit, please ask for Chris.

Just got done eating at the Airport location, The waiter we had was amazing, his name was Mike. He was attentive and sweet, he really made our dining experience nice. Tyson the Manager was really good to my husband and I as well. We appreciate everything they did to make our dinner special. Will return again soon. Thank you Tyson and Mike! Rex and Laura Beck

I have not been to an Outback Steakhouse in 2 years due to poor wait staff and inconsistent quality of food served. Then why 4 stars? Let me say at this location on Sunday May 24, 2015, has totally changed my view on this chain. This is the newest location in Mobile, Al. The wait staff was attentive, spunky, and actually seemed to enjoy doing their job(cudos to the management). I really liked the new layout and décor of the restaurant. The menu is typical Outback, but the food seemed fresh and my steak was cooked to the right temperature. The only thing that lacked was too much caesar dressing on my salad. But everything else was on point. I will visit again! Thanks Outback for stepping up your game.

I normally wouldn’t write a review for a «chain» restaurant like Outback, however this location is special. I just had a great experience: my steak was perfect and full of flavor, the lobster tail was expertly grilled, and the salad(although basic) was very fresh. I learned the meaning of sin when I dipped my last morsel of filet in the zesty lobster butter sauce. Would recommend highly, as long as the price can be tolerated.

When I saw this Outback was so busy I was hopeful. A busy restaurant is usually a good sign. Boy was I in for a surprise! When my coworker and I arrived, there was a twenty minute wait for a table so we sat at the bar. We were greeted fairly promptly by Annette. We ordered a water and a lemonade to start with and were provided those quickly with the menus. After that it was all downhill. She did not return to take our order for a solid 15 minutes. We both ordered chicken salads and I a glass of wine. The wine was never provided to me — and I did not remind her because I’m not going to beg to spend my money. We waited for more than another half an hour for the salads and Toby did check on us once but neither bothered to refill my nearly empty water glass. Neither bartender offered to check why the food was taking so long. Eventually we got tired of waiting so we just left. I write this review as I sit in my hotel room eating room service. Bar Guests Beware!

I normally enjoy Outback and I’m still a fan, but I ate there tonight with my family and it was lacking a bit. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly, but my baked potato was as dry as a bone even though it was supposed to be loaded. The service was extremely slow even though our server was really nice. I don’t think that the value was there. Our bill was $ 74. I expect a little more than that if I’m going to spend the money. It was mediocre.

Nice newer looking place. Server was helpful and offered us an appropriate amount of options. Manager stopped over to see how we were doing. Try the outback special. The steak has greAt seasoning and is consistently good.

Brand new location and I went in for Sunday lunch. I ordered prime rib but was told that it wouldn’t be available until later in the day. If they are going to be open, they should be prepared to serve their menu. I ordered the ribeye instead and it was good, just not what I wanted. Restaurant is a typical outback other than just being brand new.

i normally dont care for outback because the service is normally poor and the food seems to be ok. Well i rate the service here a 5 star. our server was very fast! he kept the beer coming and the sweet tea. The food was good and was cooked to perfection. This place had a line that was sooo long we waited 40 min. we visited outback on 3÷9÷2013

Outback is remarkably consistent across their chain. They pride themselves on training and making sure their staff is top rate. This was a training night on a Monday in Mobile. the servers were fine and the food some of the best I have had. The bartender, however, was abominable. Her attention to the wait staff forced numerous apologies and excuses(the bartender is backed up). Preposterous, I was sitting in the bar and could clearly observe that this was NOT the case.

Came in this evening and got the Seared Ahi Tuna as an appetizer and it was really good. I’d just eat that as a meal if it wasn’t so expensive. My wife got the sirloin and it was a little tough. The prime rib that I got was perfect. Good seasoning and the correct level of done ness. Our server Cory was great too. Took really good care of us. Drinks never got past half full. We will definitely come back again. For a Friday evening is wasn’t as packed as I would have expected. Which is nice when you want to get in and get to eating.
