Woooboy. I’m a traveling musician and have flopped down on many crappy couches & gross hotels. This one was pretty bad. I’m not a clean germaphobe but upon entry the smell was something like cleaner trying to cover up stale smoke. The tv reception was messed up which the nice and very friendly desk guy came and fixed.(No complaints regarding desk staff) THECRACKHEAD: As we unloaded our stuff our neighbor(young fella flyin solo) was talkin to the cleaning lady who was saying«well what I’m understanding is that you’re the CRACK dealer» !!! Sad part I didn’t know I she was reprimanding him or a potential customer. I also noticed he had a huge spiderweb on the windshield of his Cadillac.(They were discussing events that happened the night before) eeeep. ROACHROOFINN: The cleanliness of the room was awful. Spotted a small roach right as I was falling asleep on the night stand. And NO wonder! I opened the drawer to kill the bug with Gideon’s great book & found old take out containers, receipts from 10 days ago-Valentine’s Day(how romantic) & candy wrappers with candy still in it. DOGGONEIT: Final kicker: as we left we saw a sad little stray pooch(chihuahua mix) running around the back of the hotel. :-( DONOTSTAYHEREEXPECTING well anything. A bed, tv, & a door between you and the crackhead next store. I did find it humorous looking at the comment card i realized our cleaning lady and I shared a name. Hahahha.

Had to find a place to stay because I was driving across the country. This place is one of the cheapest that I could find. However, you should be mindful that YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR. The rooms are very basic. When I first walked in, there was a weird smell to it, kind of smells like smoke but not exactly. I got used to it after awhile but every time I walk in and out, I have to readjust. The bad thing about this place is that it is NOTCLEAN. There were hair in the bathtub. And there towels had stains and some weird orange stuff stuck to it. I do not recommend anyone coming. KEEPCLEAR.

We were just passing through and decided to stop here so I wouldn’t have to drive 20 hours straight. This was the lowest price I could find in the area. The front desk girl was nice & gave us a good recommendation for dinner. Amenities were very basic — coffee but no breakfast, sketchy vending area with ice, etc. We were pleasantly surprised to see a micro-fridge in our room. It was obvious that housekeeping could have done a better job moving furniture to vacuum(debris behind nightstand & dresser) but it didn’t smell horrible and it was a place to sleep. Sadly, it turned out not to be a place to sleep very well — we were both up and down all night. My friend’s bed was very uncomfortable — she complained of a spring sticking up into her back. My bed was worse by her estimation — I couldn’t sleep because I felt itchy all night and when I woke up my whole body was covered in insect bites, especially my arms. I have never experienced bed bugs and I didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but three days of itchy bumps all over my arms and legs are telling me that I should have at least dragged myself out of bed and requested a new room(or a different hotel). My friend got up early and hopped in the shower. While she was in the bathroom, I spotted a cockroach skittering across the carpet and running underneath her bed. I warned her about the bug when she got out of the shower and she said«yeah, I saw a six-inch cockroach under the vanity when I got up to use the bathroom at 3.» I am sure there are worse hotels out there, but as many other hotel choices as I have on this annual round-trip road-trip, I seriously doubt I’ll ever be staying at this particular location again. My friend says this has put her off of the entire Red Roof brand for good.
