Great small town bakery. You HAVE to get their five flavor pound cake. It is life changing.

Amazing bakery/café, great food in large proportion for a low price. Had a red velvet cheesecake slice, Carmel macchiato, and a broccoli chicken quiche. All were excellent, the cake was very moist.

I don’t care for the coffee but the desserts are awesome. I don’t like their German potato salad(It is very sugary) but usually the other sides are pretty good & so are the sandwiches, but that menu never changes. I wish they’d try daily specials & add new sandwiches, you can tell they focus all their main interest on the cakes. I checked into getting them to make a birthday cake this year with my favorite teams logo & they told me I had to get copyright permission from the college, I have never heard of such a requirement & of course they were the highest price out of the 3 – 4 places I checked with.

Ketchie Creek has got to be the best bakery around. Everyone I know raves about their goods. Today I found out just how nice they all are. We were coming home from a tournament in Hickory when I asked the other ladies with me if they minded stopping as we were going to go right by on the way. Of course they had no objections. We were practically drooling from the thought. We had in tow a young middle school lass who had never been to Ketchie Creek(horrors). She needed to be saved from her ignorance! Haha! To our chagrin it was closed when we got there. There were workers inside as they were still cleaning up. A member of our party went to the side door to see if she could get their attention. She told them of our mission to school our young charge and they couldn’t refuse us. The ladies of Ketchie Creek let us in and allowed us to pick up a few goodies. They were so gracious and helpful and never acted resentful that we were delaying their quest to get out and enjoy the rest of their Saturday. Bravo Ladies! Not only is your food the best around but I declare you have the most gracious employees. Thank you so much!!! By the way, the young lass declared your wares were every bit as good as we had told her!

What a great surprise! I was driving up to the mountains for a work trip, and didn’t think I would make it another hour for a major town — so I hopped on Unilocal and saw this place. I thought it only had baked goods by the pics and reviews — but it had everything! 20+ Sandwiches on a variety of bread options, a case full of different salads — all with really fresh greens, fruits, and nuts(no iceberg lettuce/croûton/sprinkle cheese here!) — and then, of course, so many baked goods that I had to wander back and forth between all of the cases just to try to wrap my head around the selection. DEFINITELY get the chicken salad tart — it was absolutely delicious — and I am so picky about chicken salad. This one was well balanced, with fruit and veggies, and NOT soaked in mayonnaise — and the pie crust was among the flakiest I’ve ever had(and I’m a baker). I also got a side of the broccoli salad, which was very fresh and had golden raisins and sunflower seeds(yum). I loved the pie crust so much that I grabbed a slice of the Moravian chicken pie to go — it looks amazing — and I grabbed a cupcake, which was dry and had way too much frosting. The cookies were tasty, though!

Cute little café/bakery. My aunt and I sat down for some lunch and to sample their cupcakes. You can order either a half sandwich or a full, which I thought was convenient. The regular turkey sandwich with honey mustard was delicious. I tried their vanilla and red velvet cupcakes. The vanilla cupcake had a nice lemony flavor to it, but I was disappointed to not taste any vanilla. The red velvet cupcake was nice, but a little on the dry side. I don’t believe it was made fresh that day. I will definitely be back to try it one more time!

So good! Found this bakery when looking for wedding vendors. So happy I did. I have tried lots of their foods and desserts and it is all amazing! Try the cream horns and the strawberry pound cake with cream cheese icing! They catered our wedding and everything was delicious. We had a dessert table with multiple cakes, pies, bars, and cheese straws. We hardly got any of it because our guests loved it all so much! I was planning from NYC, which is hard. Trying to communicate with the owner was tricky, but when I finally got her on the phone, everything was taken care of professionally. Our wedding cake, a 2-tier strawberry pound with pink-to-white ombré cream cheese icing was as tasty as it was beautiful!

Not a fan of their baked goods, by fault of personal taste preference. What I do like: outdoor seating, broccoli salad, and half size sandwich options

The muffin was awesome but the blended coffee left much to be desired. Dig into the baked goods but skip the drinks. 2013 #186 /365

The five flavor poundcake was worth buying an entire cake when I thought I could buy a slice, and we ate the hell out of that cake for most of a week. The buttercream icing was divine.

Sandwiches here are a good size. As another reviewer pointed out you can order a half sandwich with a side. I don’t know what they charge for this combo. My full sandwich had a lot of meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was almost too much. I would definitely stop here and I highly recommend it. I did not try any of the pastries, cookies, etc. They carry Cheerwine and I had one with my lunch.

So my husband had been here for lunch many times always brings me something sweet and delicious home. I have had the cinnamon rolls, YUM, and different brownies, drool… they are huge and great flavor. I finally went for lunch the other day and was very impressed. They serve Boar’s Head cold cuts, which I love, and most(if not all) are gluten free. They have great combinations for their sandwiches. They also have sides that are not typical… a cucumber salad, a cold german potato salad and also a corn salad, all which are delicious. I also love that you can get a half of sandwich with a small salad or cup or soup. Unfortunately they were out of soup the day I went but I would love to try it some time. Also not only do they have cupcakes but you can buy just a slice of cake. They also offer the BEST cheese straws and other in house made items for sale. They also have a small selection of party plates, napkins and other party items. Not a lot of stuff to do in Mocksville but if its a nice day and you are in the mood for a drive stop and have lunch here.

The Staff was Friendly and Sweet — The Girl waiting on me said the Icing was Butter-cream Icing on my Cupcake… If it was it was the weakest I have ever tasted… I’d be pleased to be contacted by someone there to clarify… It was NOT the Rich Calorie Laden flavor I’m used too! Cream Horns — When they are good I’ll let you know! The Horn(not the Filling) was Excellent!!! One of the Best Easily!!! The Filling was good. Good, as in 3 Unilocal stars, good, as in NOT Rich(though Richer than many) enough! The Truffle Chocolate Ganache Cookie was EXCELLENT! The Café was Roomy — Plenty of Tables and very comfortable, relaxed Atmosphere! In the last two weeks I have lost 9 pounds, so maybe this Bakery is trying to keep me from gaining it all back and maybe lose five more??? I’m Going for Flavor and eating less of the good stuff!!!

Great local bakery in Mocksville. We get all of our birthday cakes here. Very high quality cakes. You can also get coffee and lunch(i.e. deli sandwiches) as well. Highly recommend. I would love it if they baked french baguettes, ciabatta bread, etc, but sadly they don’t sell those. Looks like you can order online now, which is cool. Bottom line is support your local businesses!
