Our air conditioner went out in the middle of summer so we called AAA. After our experience, I feel like his is an untrustworthy company. While we were able to get an appointment the same day, the repair man came at the very end of the time frame we were given(about 8pm). He took about 10 minutes to look at our AC unit and then told us that we either need to replace the conductor for $ 230 or replace the motor for $ 600. It seemed odd to me that we HAD to replace something, so we told him we would think about it. We paid $ 50 for the service call which I feel was a lot for the work done of taking a quick look and trying to make a sale. Apparently this $ 50 service call was a ‘deal’ since my husband had to use a coupon to get that rate. The repair man did however offer to waive this $ 50 if we decided to have him come back. So I guess I’ll give them that. We ended up getting a second opinion from a different company who did a thorough check up of our unit, repaired it AND provided a general maintenance for a fraction of what we would have paid with AAA. Also, nothing had to be replaced! I really hate to say this but don’t waste your time with AAA.
