Amazing place to train. The coaches are amazing even with their busy schedules, traveling, competing at gold level world’s competitions, they both make time for their students, all the time. You have an opportunity to work with current competitors at a very high level. You can’t get much better. The focus is on learning and passing on that knowledge top the students.
Even with the high level competitiveness, the coaches make their classes open and welcome to any level. No matter your skill you are made to feel welcome and a valued part of the organization. I wouldn’t recommend any other Jiu Jitsu group. Come train at Ares!

I love going to this place it is the highlight of my week. The instruction is thorough and in depth as it gets from guys who know every detail so that even the most novice of people can participate. You’re missing out if you aren’t training here.

This is an awesome place to train Jiu Jitsu if you’re in the ceres area I recommend for you to check it out instructor is a world champ and awesome person. Super friendly place would make anyone feel welcome.

New to the area I visited a handful of BJJ academies in Modesto, Turlock, Oakdale, and Ceres. Not super excited about any of them I had to make a choice. That choice was made a lot easier when I heard Samir Chantre was opening his brand new academy in Ceres. I briefly studied with him at Ciao Terra’s in San Jose so I knew the quality of instruction would be at the highest level. The school offers traditional Gi and No Gi classes back to back Mon. thru Thurs. This alone sets the school apart from every other in the area. But what I really love is the fact that the school is new and the class sizes are small, it’s as if Samir this multiple times black belt world champion is teaching 6 to 8 of my friends a private lesson every night. Of course this will not last long we have already increased the mat size and new people seem to be signing up every week. If you’re looking for a place for BJJ in the Central Valley, You found it. Best place to train and nice people to train with. Samir Chantre is a world class competitor and a world class instructor. If you want to ascend your skills, you will have to come to this academy.
