One of the best Psychiatrists that I have ever meet! & that is saying alot, since I have meet hundreds! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Before you judge, at least one in four people, should get Mental Health help in there lifetimes… especially with the huge increase in stress at work & home… so do not be shy :) This MD knows his stuff, has a great bedside manner, and is quite booked. He & his wife share the practice & their converted house is quite welcoming, as is their staff. Since I am in the field, I do know he keeps his medical knowledge up to date & I value his opinion. He has also helped me deal get thru some really big life stressors… like me having major spine surgery, dealing with my physical handicaps, caregivers burnout with my wife getting cancer, the passing of my parents, and the malignant work that I must deal with. Since I moved away from Modesto a few years ago, I still make a special trip from Pismo Beach(4hrs one way) & stay overnight to see him & other great clinicians in the area(Dr. Sulak– Dentist & Dr. Jakubowski– Rehab & Physical Medicine). I have yet to find anybody who comes close to these guys in my area. It is ironic that I go to modest Modesto of all places… in the past, I found that the MDs that I saw in the SF Bay Area nowhere near as good in their fields… also the waits are far shorter in Modesto. For example, I have now waited several months & counting to see a new GIMD in LA’s Cedar-Sinai… which is ridiculous! The last time I flew to UCLA to see the Chief of Neurosurgery, it was not too helpful… so I then went to UCSF for a Orthopedic eval…then surgery. In this day & age, you must have a PPO, so that you can find the best somewhere else… and they are unlikely to be in an nearby HMO group. Now that can drive you batty! :)
