Derrel’s Mini Storage

We have had our storage unit at Derrel’s on Claus Rd since 2006. There are been several managers, some good, some so so, but overall they have been awesome. I found even the so so ones, who are now gone, to always be friendly and helpful. They weren’t always organized and one was quite the talker, but I was never treated poorly. The current managers, who I just met today when I stopped by, are knowledgeable and get things done as fast as the computer allows them too. I have also had occasion to talk to their corporate office in Fresno and found them to be of excellent assistance.

Terrible customer service, very unhelpful and ridiculously slow. When you enter the office, the employees are either sleeping or watching TV. To pay your bill expect to spend at the very least 10 – 15 minutes in the office, even if you are the only one. I know it sounds crazy, but, it almost feels like they are going so slowly on purpose just to annoy you. The employees will offer to take your credit card number and run your payment through on whichever day you want so you don’t have to come in. But, sometimes they just don’t do it and charge you a late fee, once YOU figure out they haven’t been charging you.
Today, was the last straw. I went to pay my bill today and Nancy, the employee, refused to take my payment and insisted I pay with cash because my payment was late. I didn’t even know it was late, apparently the employee who runs the credit cards no longer works here. Nancy said the employee wasn’t supposed to be running cards monthly.
Long story short, Derrel’s hires crappy employees and when they fail to do their job correctly they punish their customers.
Not cool. I’m outta there!

Would give no stars if i could. Worst customer service you’ve ever imagined and the woman with the high pitched voice is the most aggressive/​passive aggressive woman I’ve ever experienced. Will yell at you to get out 30 minutes before they close. (Happened many times.) Yelled at us to get out 16 minutes before closing. Said we had 9 minutes to get out. We literally had 65 seconds of work but it was the premise that was so annoying. If you want to close earlier then close earlier, derrels!!! Don’t advertise a time and then use such a horrible town when people show up DURING business hours. For the over priced madness you pay here as it is, I’d give them 0 stars if I could.
