My friend I were looking for video games at the back of this store, and we saw a glass counter which had the games in them. Heres the problem, though. There was NOBODY behind the counter! We then pushed a button it said to press for somebody to help us get our games out of the case. Rang it once, five minutes later, nothing. This went on for the next 15 minutes. Until he rang it constantly, THEN somebody came out! And had the nerve to say«You only have to ring it once.» I’m disgusted by the rudeness and don’t plan on coming back.

We have found some good deals at this store, but a lot of their items are overpriced. What really bothers me is that I have heard the employees talking about items they just received and they set them aside for themselves or another worker. I brought a lot of really nice donations and I never saw them make it to the sales floor. The employees shouldn’t be allowed to pick and choose the items they want to keep. Another gripe is that some employees will lie to your face and state they have tested the electronic equipment, when clearly they have not. Most of the time the store has batteries to test an item in front of you, but not all the employees will take the time to do so. At least at other thrift stores there is a grace period on electronics for this exact reason. NOT at the Good Samaritan, it is «as is» and no refund. I do like their special discount days. I think they have it for seniors, students and veterans.

I love this store. Some stuff is pricey, but I’d rather pay $ 6 for a pair of Adidas then $ 30 for my daughter, and $ 8 for a pair of Vans for my daughter rather than $ 50. She’s only gonna wear them for 6 months are so then grow out of them. Clothes aren’t expensive, I scored a super nice Adidas outfit for my daughter for $ 4. They had 50% off DVD’s and CD’s. Found a set of 3 Angelina Ballerina DVD’s for $ 3.50. So I got those 50% off. I found cute clothes for my daughter, myself, and my Mom. I will definitely come back since I know the money is going locally and it’s cheaper than Goodwill across the street.

I Love this thrift store. I always find lots of goodies and good prices. They are well stocked and have good sales. I find them nicely competitive with coupons as well you can find in the paper. I’ve seen homeless people actually come in and ask for help and the manager seemed to help them. My only complaint is that sometimes their coupons are screwball with the dates and they do not take competitors coupons.

Dropped of a bunch of children’s items today.(Books, Legos) and was completely ignored by the 2 attendants at the drop off. Both of them absolutely acted as if we didn’t exist. No hello, thank you or would you like a receipt for that? Nothing. Not everyone bringing in items for drop off is bringing in garbage. Never again will we bring anything here.

Booo. Don’t buy anything here that may not work. I paid $ 50 for a cuckoo clock, figuring they wouldn’t dare ask so much if they hadn’t at least tried it out to see it runs. Nope. Totally broken… I took it to a clock repair and he said the insides don’t even match and could never would need $ 250 in new parts to work at all. I took it back and she didn’t even act sorry, just got snotty about the sign on the wall clearly says no refunds.

update: Oh no! They got bad, then they got even worse. The store has all but done away with books. They have crammed them into a small corner and used valuable book space for purses. I was hoping they would reconsider because they had really good books. I have to take the stars away. The manager said they had pallets upon pallets of books. Someone in power should get them to have Sunday morning parking lot sales. At .25 and .50 they would still make money. If they opened at 9 am on Sunday, everyone would spend their money there, before the 10 am opening stores ever got off of their honkers. Get on it, people!
