Grilled cheese made with local Fiscalini cheese was delicious! Served with homemade tomato soup. Garlic fries were homemade shoestring potatoes with just the right amount of crunch and salt and chopped garlic. The waiter told us the renovations and expansion is over so they are now open for lunch daily. The place is beautiful and clean. Full bar. Nice wine selection Staff was attentive!

The food and service was amazing. The Black Forest ham, Brie and Fig jam on a French baguette and the Four Season salad with chicken is delicious. Would recommend this place for lunch and/or a light snack after work.

I hosted a baby shower at the restaurant, 3÷13÷16, and I was extremely happy with the outcome. Ashley and her team, Lina and Christina were very accommodating. They made sure everything was set up and helped with final details. The mom to be commented on how beautiful it turned out. I highly recommend Greens on Tenth and Greens Table as they designed the cake to match the invitations. All I can say is… WOW!

My work uses them for catering our events and I have tasted some good things and some not so good things. I recently ate at the restaurant for our Christmas lunch and was not impressed at all. Several of my co-workers were also disappointed. My salmon was cold and my friend’s was raw, so she sent it back and it still came back uncooked. The mashed potatoes were runny and the vegetables were cold and overcooked. The only decent part of the meal was the salad and the dessert. I highly doubt I will be back.

Great great food! However, always a very long wait. I don’t know Sam personally but she is amazing every time I’ve been in there she’s quick and on top of it. Great food! But some of the other waitresses seem to be inexperienced. Good food, just wish the wait wasn’t always so long with a empty room.

Very good salads and sandwiches make this a good pick for a quick lunch. The staff are really friendly. The desserts are really good– I had a cookie that was the best of my life. Also the housemade potato chips are great. The caprese sandwich is really fresh and can even last you a couple of lunches! Just a couple things though– the tri tip is a miss as it’s a little tough/flavorless and the Chinese Chicken salad doesn’t have much in the way of cabbage.

Cuteeee spot! Open Saturday’s for brunch! 10 – 2 and they have bottomless mimosas. Absolutely enjoyed my time there. The place is real low key and service was good. They took about 10min to get us some drinks but it was overall good service. I got the eggs Benedict with salmon. Super Delish! I would definitely come again.

Very nice place. Clean and classy. Service was good. The Tri-tip sandwich I ordered was marginal at best. The meat was very tough and flavorless. It was overpowered by some onion sauce that didn’t seem to work well together. I’m still a fan of Greens. I’ve been to the other location close to Modesto Toyota and have ordered the turkey sandwich many times. I’ll just won’t order the Tri-tip again.

Location: Modesto downtown, close to Gallo center. Setting: semi-casual. Food: carefully prepared with the above-average taste. Service: far below average. It was Valentine’s Day. We reserved a table a week ago for the dinner before the Mamma Mia show. We were surprised by the special menus with very limited choice without notice in advance during the reservation call. We were even more shocked that we were often left alone upstairs. We finally had to call the restaurant main line to ask waitress for delivering the ice water.

I went to greens for my first time on Wednesday, and had such a wonderful experience. The restaurant is gorgeous and elegantly decorated. The food was heathy, and tasted amazing. Chris was extremely helpful, attentive, and polite, and he gave the best serice. I will definitely be going again.

Okay, so my partner has been telling me how good the burgers are from here so I finally said lets go on your lunch. So we went there today and this is what happened. We sit down and quickly ordered. We got nearly the same burger except mine had mayo added. We chose the garlic fries as sides. About 17 minutes go by and they bring our food out. My burger had no mayo or special sauce and the fries were cold limp and soaked with grease. My partner’s burger came with the wrong kind of cheese and no sauce whatsoever. To make matters worse, his burger had red blood soaked in the bun and all over the plate, but the burger was cooked showing no blood. Where did the blood come from? His fries were equally displeasing. We told the waitress we were not pleased with the food and asked to leave. Seriously, after hearing the hype and then getting served a heaping pile of crap, I won’t recommend this place nor go back. You know a place is bad if they can’t get French fries right…

From the very beginning, the restaurant made a bad impression. There weren’t that many people in the restaurant on a nice day, and after being seated the service was exceptionally slow. The salad entrée(chicken caesar) I had looked as though the lettuce was used as bedding for the chicken while it was still alive, the romaine lettuce being yellow or brown in places, and not very appealing in its taste. The chicken wasn’t much better: cold and rubbery, it seemed more likely that the chicken died — I hope — of old age. Service was spotty at best. Negligence might have been a better classification than service. After food in the military — especially during deployments — you get to be a lot less selective about what you eat. For these prices, I shouldn’t have to be reminded that I once had to first kill my dinner in order to get something to eat. To steal a line from my friend Dita — and she’s been quoted by so many — the people who wrote the menus here should write personal profiles for lonely-hearts on dating websites: clearly, either they are in the wrong business, or chose the wrong restaurant to write for. Unless you are trying to lose weight and want to leave the restaurant hungry, I wouldn’t suggest coming here to eat. The food we were served makes me wonder if restaurant employees were forced to write the glowing 5-star reviews.

Stopped in for coffee and light breakfast. After waiting 45 minutes(with only 3 others inside) we finally asked for our stuff to go. Customer service is key to having return customers and this spot will not be receiving our support. However, Greens on Bangs has always had amazing service and amazing food!

So bad. I haven’t been back since the dinner with my daughter, but I left with positive feelings last time so when my daughter suggested we stop back in I was all for it. We both ordered the grilled Caesar salad — i’ve had grilled romaine salads at other restaurants and have absolutely loved it. The salad description mentioned it came with«parmesan pudding». We asked what that was, and the waiter told us it was their Parmesan dressing — that it was so thick they refer to it as pudding. We asked for our pudding on the side. When our salads came, we saw two sad burned pieces of Romain crisscrossed with a few cherry tomatoes. The lettuce was limp and charred, and the«parmesan pudding“was a very, very thin dressing. I tried to cut into it but the lettuce was so limp that it kind of stretched instead of cutting or tearing. I took a bite, hoping for the best — but it was a bitter, lifeless mess. I tried another bite, but honestly couldn’t eat it — it was that bad.(and I was really hungry!) My daughter optimistically bought that maybe pepper would help it, but since no one had offered us any we had to wait until we could get the lone waiter’s attention. We could see this giant Peppermill behind the bar, but what we ask the waiter for pepper we instead got a little shaker with that fine powdery pepper in it. Whattt??? When the waiter stopped back by to ask how everything was, I couldn’t lie — I told him it just tasted bad and I couldn’t eat it. To his credit, he said he would remove the salad from our check and offered to bring me a side salad instead. I accepted the offer, and 15 or so minutes later the salad was brought to the table. It wasn’t bad, but had almost zero dressing on it. He had taken my fork with the other salad, and didn’t bring a new one — so I had to steal one from the next table over. The waiter apologized for the burned salad and I told him I knew it wasn’t his fault — I don’t shoot the messenger. He said that he hoped we would give the restaurant another chance… But I don’t think there’s a chance in hell that I’ll do that. (By the way — the owner’s other restaurant, Green’s Table on Bangs, is bangin’. I’ll take the low-rent, industrial area strip shopping center over the fancy-schmancy Greens on Tenth any day of the week!)

Since I had never been here but have heard of this restaurant’s reputation via community word of mouth, I was excited to try out this place for breakfast. We came on a day that Downtown Modesto was being shut down for a Grand Prix event. Even so, parking about 2 blocks away was still accessible. Also, the restaurant was still open — we hadn’t checked to see if the Downtown event would cause it close, so that was great. We were the first and only customers in the place at 8 am on a Friday. We were told that there was no actual physical breakfast menu, which wasn’t a huge deal for us, but we were told later that there probably wouldn’t be a menu for another month. Our server was extremely accommodating and friendly, and offered up specific dishes to order dote there being no menu. I was with two other people and all of us had specialty requests — egg whites, no dairy, etc. — and it was all taken care of. We ordered mimosas and basically 3 different versions of omelette sandwiches. Food took at least 20 minutes to come out but was delicious and accompanied by fresh fruit. Overall vibes, food, and service were great — it just seemed like the place was open due to the fact that the kitchen staff would need to be there anyways for prep later in the day, but not really open and ready for business. When we were finishing our meal, another staff member came and put flower vases on all the tables. We would come back for breakfast! It had an upscale feel in terms of food quality but there was a nice and relaxed vibe and attitude at the same time. Shout out to our server Julian! Thanks for taking care of us!

After a long weekend of junk food and binge eating, I was on a mission to find a satisfying and healthy salad for lunch. When I first walked into Greens on Tenth, the place was extremely busy. It was clear that they were in the weeds and very much understaffed. Before even sitting down, I noticed how clean and classic the restaurant looked. It almost had a steakhouse feel to it. I suppose I should mention that despite the name, there are plenty of other dishes to choose from besides«greens.» I sat at the bar and was ignored for quite sometime. When I finally got a menu, I decided on their Four Seasons salad with chicken and was able to place my order about another 10 minutes later. Both times that I have been here for lunch, I experienced pretty much the same thing, even though the second time it was a little bit quieter. You can tell that the staff is doing their best, but in my opinion are lacking training and perhaps motivation. The order came out in due time and my silverware and water followed. The Four Seasons was a nice salad, but had way too many dried cranberries and just like the Tri Tip salad I tried the next time around, it lacked seasoning. I realize that it comes with dressing, but a little salt goes a long way and makes the vegetables pop. The protein, in both cases was okay, but nothing to rave about. One big thing which could have also improved the experience is if the tri-tip and the chicken were served at room temperature instead of just being pulled from the lowboy. Greens on Tenth has a lot of potential and I hope they hit their stride very soon.

We were in the area so we stopped by for lunch. First reaction? All the cooks/waiters were male and every single patron dining in were females. Hey, I’m not complaining. We opted for a seat at the bar and within five minutes, the guy behind the counter broke my heart three times. They ran out of this, they ran out of that. If they weren’t so nice and friendly, we would’ve walked out. After going through what they did have, I narrowed down and made my own sandwich. Turkey, brie and fig with an Arnold Palmer. Now, one bite into my sandwich and all was forgiven. Simple but so good! If I’m ever in the area again, will definitely be back.
