Great gift store for all occasions friendly staff and ownership. Awesome to visit during Christmas time with all of the decorations and the Christmas spirit, keep up the good work.

Portico is amazing! I could spend all day in there just looking. It is a little pricey for me, but for me that’s what makes it fun to go in there. I’m just starting out in my own home and I like to look here and fantasize about how my home would look after I decorated it with all portico decorations.

I have driven by this store numerous times whenever I am in McHenry Village. So today I decided to have a «visit shops I’ve never been to but have always wanted to» kind of day.
The entrance to Portico is located in between two buildings so you really have to be looking for it. It is a really good size store. They have some really cute and pretty things for your home and garden. They also offer design services and wedding registry. One of the sales clerks was really friendly and did not follow me the whole time I was in the store.
Another employee just stared at me as I neared the register. I wanted to ask her if I could help her with something (staring problem perhaps?) but I just smiled sweetly and kept on browsing. She finally relaxed and smiled in return. It pays to be friendly! If I was in the market for some home décor I would keep Portico in mind. ;)
