Precision Automotive

Precision was a regular disappointment and expensive experience. Co-​workers and I had a difficulty here. Over the course of 8 months I’ve had a fair amount of work completed. Within a year, more the 50% of the work completed had failed and had to be redone by another shop costing me over $ 1,500 in additional repair costs. Since going to an alternate shop I haven’t had any problems with repairs. Precision wasn’t helpful in standing behind the work and wanted to charge additional diagnostic fees to re-​evaluate paid work that had failed. One of the items I paid to have fix turns out was never fix, simply cleaned and polished to look new. Another critical engine system that had failed after repair looks to possibly have been a used part installed. A co-​worker had similar problems. Our company, my co-​workers and I take our vehicles elsewhere and haven’t had any problems since.
They have convenient hours easy for working people. Whatever special automotive skills they might have were apparently overlooked on my vehicle.

I took my car here thinking I had a different problem. I thought I was going to have a $ 1000 plus bill. Came out a little under $ 600 with a brand new starter for my car. Only got charged an hour labor. I am very pleased. Especially when a lot of people told me they would rip me off! I will definitely take my vehicles back here! Thank you Precision Automotive!

I went to Precision Automotive based upon my dad having a good experience with them.
Here is my experience:
I took in my car for a diagnostic check because my check engine light was coming on. They said the issue was bad ignitions coils. The mechanic was a really nice guy and told me that all the ignition coils would need to be replaced and new spark plugs.
The estimate was: $ 1100!
So I went onto handy dandy
and typed in replace ignition coils and spark plugs. I ordered ALL my parts for $ 320 at Oreily Automotive. I replaced all my ignition coils and my spark plugs in 45 minutes! Keep in mind, I am NOT very handy and have a really hard time putting together Ikea stuff.
To top it off, when I was leaving the shop AFTER paying for my diagnostic. The owner says «You shouldn’t drive your car on bad coils, that can hurt your car». I just walked out the door. It seems like he was trying to «scare» me into having him do the work at his shop.
So why did this shop overprice me for parts and WAY overprice me for labor? I don’t know, but I suggest you don’t find out and thus go to a different shop. I am not coming back here.
