I just went today for my first time I searched best sandwiches near me in Modesto and it popped up so I went… BEST FUCKING TUNA SANDWICH IVE EAVER HAD SERIOUSLY!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SHE WAS SO NICE :) definitely going back again the sandwich is huge for 10 bucks I can bet any sandwich on that menu is bomb as hell so good! For sure I’m coming back

Delicious sandwiches! Chicken salad sandwich is the best in town. Friendly staff and clean inside. Would recommend if you are looking for sandwiches that don’t disappoint.

Next I will have to call ahead but outstanding tri tip sandwiches. Macaroni salad and potato salad is delicious. Great prices and the staff is nice. Parking is pretty good too.

Submarine sandwiches from here to eternity. My heart was set on the hot pastrami (#14), but it’s Ash Wednesday, so no meat.
The cashier was informative, helpful, & nice. Props.
We went w a 6″ tuna salad & a 6″ egg salad. Sourdough & Dutch crunch, respectively.
Both salads were very good. But the winner for me was the egg salad. It was light, über fresh, & über flavorful. Actually exceptional.
The Dutch crunch was fine, but this egg salad would be bomb on toasted, regular sliced bread.
Tri-​tip was sold out, so I got the message that if it’s tri-​tip that you want, then you gotta get there early.
There was a pastrami dog on the menu that got my attention. As well as pork tenderloin. I salivate.

I must have eaten 100 sandwiches from here by now. BBQ TRI TIP AND PULLED pork are great! I like the hot pastrami with melted cheese .The staff is always nice treat you good. They went toanother bread on the subs which is lighter. I like the other better

Huge line at lunch time!

Picked up a tri tip sandwiches today with potatoe salad. Very good. First time in their and i enjoyed the layout of the place. People were friendly and what i could see of what others were enjoying it all looked very good. My tri tip was tasty. I would recommend and take friends and family their. I enjoyed it.

I went here for the first time because I saw the good reviews on Unilocal.It did not disappoint me at all. I had the pastrami sandwich, which was great. I would say its a little expensive, but for the amount of meat they put on the sandwich, the price is reasonable. I was told I need to try the tri tip. If that is as good as everyone is saying, I may have to make this 5 stars. It is probably the best sandwich place I have had in Modesto.

I decided while in Modesto, I wanted a sandwich. A sandwich that is not Subway. A quick Unilocal search yielded this spot.
Le fiancé got a hot dog and pastrami sandwich, while I opted for some kind of mixed cold cut sandwich with all of the fixin’s. Was great, GREAT quality. Not just for Modesto. I would consider this a solid option where I live as well.
Cons: there’s a gun store next to it. That kind of scared me.
I’ll be back!

Great hole in the wall. Best Tri-​tip sammich I’ve ever had (seriously), bar none. Tuna, Egg salad excellent as well. They don’t skimp. Ladies working there are very nice and the owners are great. Can’t go wrong going there. You want the Tri-​tip go early or order ahead.

I’ve been tried food here twice, both times we had our orders delivered. I didn’t care for the tri_​tip but the pastrami was delicious. The pastrami cost me $ 12 which is a lot to me but to my surprise that thing was huge! Give them a try people, my food was delivered, I’m sure eating it there would have been much better!

By far my favorite sandwich shop! The staff is friendly, the owners a great guy and the food rocks. What more could you ask for? Try the pastrami dog, it is really really good. I often have a hard time deciding between that and the BBQ Tri Tip when I go in.

Meh — not a place I will be back to. Bread was not great, service was not great.

Very good sub shop.
I had a turkey, Swiss, and bacon sub that was very good.
Good prices considering the quality and amount of food you get. Very good customer service.
If you want a better sandwich than what you can get in the large national-​chain sub shops, this is the place to go.

Grabbed 3 lunchtime subs here. The 12 inch subs are HUGE. Delicious. Highly recommended. I was only able to eat half. The other half is stashed away for lunch tomorrow.

Food is pretty good. Love the tri tip and the pastrami. Not much to offer for sides, just cheap Mac or potato salad or chips. The part I hate is the long line. They can only process one order/​customer at a time. They’ve never thought if expediting this process? If they had one more register and one more person taking orders they could speed this up. On several occasions I have gone only to walk out after seeing the long line. When I do get the chance to eat here, I’ve seen many customers open the door, take a peak inside then leave. It irritates me how small business orders are so bad at being effective and trying to do everything they can to have their business grow.
The lunch hour during the week is their busiest time. I don’t even bother going anymore if I take a lunch between 1130 – 1230. It’s just not worth the wait. Even if you call in your order, you still have to wait in line. One would think they would expedite orders during these hours to accommodate every customer and build a return customer basis. I guess some owners are just content with the business they have and don’t care about maximizing the money they put into their business. Sad. On a better note, I can call in an order to the sand which shop on Kansas and they have a line just for phone in orders.

If you want a great sandwich eat here. Service and food is awesome. Will take call-​in orders too. Owner and staff are very courteous and friendly.
