I was really skeptical in having eye lash extensions because I have seen and heard of so many horror stories. I was coming here to Stages Salon for eyebrow waxing and I would see so many women happy with their eyelashes. The girls raved about how good Elisha was at her work so I decided to give it a try…
I can not even begin to tell you how much I LOVE her work. I get soo many compliments on my eyelashes and no one believes that these aren’t mine. Elisha is really good at what she does, she takes her time, she is a perfectionist and she gets to know you as a client and not just a paying customer. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied before you walk out that door.

The receptionist asked me questions about my hair type and what I was looking for and referred me to the stylist most familiar with what I wanted. I was 100% satisfied and will definitely be back! :)

Brought my mother here for Eyelash Extensions after a couple of failed results at other salons. Elisha was wonderful, took her time and made sure it looked absolutely perfect. Prices are more than affordable. She uses top of the line products & really knows what shes doing. Nice ittle boutique… they’ve a nail station, hair stations, facials, & more. They were quite busy with the hair area. Lots of hair dying. That shows how good they are. Loved a few results I saw, scheduling a haircut with them in a few days. Very sweet employees, greeted us as we entered & exited with a smile & outgoing personality. Definitely recommend this place for Lash Extensions

I’ve been going to Tara for maybe around 8 years now, and have followed her throughout her career. She’s hands down the best stylist I’ve ever had, and every time I go somewhere else (I no longer live in Modesto and can’t always make the drive) I always regret it. So I just do my best to get an appointment in whenever I do head this way. It’s so worth it. She so versatile, knowledgable, and dedicated to her work. And I’ve wanted every kind of cut, style and color over the years, I think I’m always amazed at her skill and creativity. She is an incredible asset to Stages! I’m super picky and expect a lot, and she always delivers.

This is beautiful salon with cute merchandise! I have been going to see Ramee for over 4 years now. She’s wonderful and very sweet. She always takes her time and makes sure I’m happy. Roz is also great and equally talented.

Ramee is great! She did as I asked & more! Wanting a lil ombré, is fun but drying my hair. She was great with the gentle lighting as to not damage my hair (going from dark brown to blonde). Giving my long hair shape without loosing length.
The salon is clean & your greeted with a warm welcome as you enter. Decorated nicely. It’s a salon I enjoy visiting & feel relaxed in.

Ramee is amazing at what she does! I am new to the area and desperately needed color and a hair cut. Called on a Wednesday and asked for a Saturday appointment (since it was right after the Thanksgiving holiday). Ramee fit me in on Saturday and then I found out that she literally came in just for my appointment. That is awesome and really speaks about how she treats her customers! Color was quick and she covered ALL of my white/​grey hairs! Cut was great too! Had an amazing experience and loved that we were able to hold a conversation (sometimes you just don’t click and it’s awkward silence your entire appt). Definitely found my new hairstylist!

I only went to this place for a brazilian and during my first experience, i was nervous but the lady was very nice. I think her name was Kelly. She truly is amazing and it wasn’t awkward at all. As I would go to her monthly, I got to know her as she kept up a conversation to distract me from the minor pains from the blue wax. The place overall was always clean and inviting. I definitely recommend this place if u are looking for an affordable brazilian. Kelly is very popular so always make an appointment and always take cash as when I would go, she wouldn’t take credit cards.

I had my first appointment with Ramey today and was in and out in 25 minutes. She did a great job, was professional, and polite.

Ramee is amazing. I have had numerous poor experiences in Modesto at some really high end salons. I will never go anywhere else. She gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. I brought in pictures and she just did it. Knowing my trepidation coming into the salon she was so chill and was able to give me the color and cut I wanted effortlessly. I cannot rave enough about this place. Ramee could go toe to toe with any LA celeb hairstylist!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Let me give a little back story first, I have been going to the same girl to do my hair for about 10 years, a few times I went elsewhere but always seemed to go back to her, its safe to say I was comfortable where I was. The last time I had my hair done though I felt like I needed a change, that we were too complacent with «the usual», I wanted a new hairdresser, new personality, new ideas, so when I recently moved to Modesto I knew I wanted to look for a new girl.
Problem was, how and where? I checked Unilocal all the time read hundreds of reviews, I would find a salon I thought I liked but always had a negative gut feeling. I don’t have many blonde friends so it was hard to find someone to ask. Finally I came across Stages, I went to their website and read all their brief bios. I came across Holly, whom I met years ago (long story short she’s an ex bf’s relative) so I messaged her and made an appointment.
It did make it easier that I knew her a little or was familiar with her prior to my appointment, however I never have seen her work personally so I was still nervous switching. Immediately she made me feel comfortable, I gave her some details about my hair such as; some pieces would be paneled and some weaved, that I had breakage bad and that she would see some sections where foils had slipped before. She assured me she would fix it to make it all even.
I showed her my picture of the color blonde I was looking for, even though I am blonde I have a hard time keeping it from turning yellow, so I wanted a straight platinum without frying my hair.
She did two colors throughout my hair, let me sit 15 minutes, my hair takes color easily so I wasn’t worried, then washed my hair. Best part… NO BREAKAGE. She then toned my hair then sat my down to cut it. This is where she really confirmed that I made the best decision in switching.
She took a picture of the back of my hair to explain to me from breakage and possibly how it was cut prior it wasn’t straight it was like a V in the back. I told her go ahead and cut it, I need it healthy and we can start fresh. She could tell I didn’t want to get rid of all my length as it took me forever to grow it to where it was, so she said she would do her best and not cut off too much. She dried it then cut it dry so she could see where all the dead ends were easier.
I am so pleased, in fact I am extremely happy. It pays sometimes to take a chance and I am so thankful I did.
I recommend this salon to anyone, the girls were all nice, and I especially recommend Holly to anyone.

Ok so I was so compelled to write a review about my great hair cut I got from Stylist Ramee!
I had decided to go short back in November and ended up looking like «Dora the explorer» in my opinion. Not exactly the trendy short style I had in mind when deciding to cut my then long locks.
Well after months of trying to figure out how to style my no style hair I decided I would give this salon a try do to the other great reviews on Unilocal.
Well thank you Unilocal! Ramee was able to give my hair a great shape and style! Exactly what I had in mind when I decided to cut my hair so many months ago.
I have got so many compliments on my new hair cut that I now have confirmation my previous cut sucked: (

This place is great. The ambience is very nice and has plenty of stations to get in quick. I always see Tara… she is an amazing and trendy hairdresser!!! I’ll tell her what I want and she’ll throw out ideas with regard to coloring and cut. Needless to say, I have never had a bad cut and color by her. She’s great! The salon has plenty of hair products to choose from including other merchandise to browse.

Me, husband and daughters all see Erin for cuts, blow outs, keratin treatments and color. Erin is a great stylist and super friendly too!

I was in Modesto from SF and decided I could not go one more week without a touch up high/​low light and a trim. I found Stages on Unilocal and made a blind appointment. Ramey gave me an amazing cut. I’m a natural blonde. She kept true to my color and did a great job with the dimension of keeping my highlights natural. I walked out with Jennifer Anniston hair. She was great company. I will travel back out to Modesto to see her again for sure!

Just relocated to the area from Fresno and was worried about finding a great stylist, found Stages on Unilocal — Tara is awesome! Am loving my cut and color! I didn’t even have to go into detail about what I wanted — she’s very talented. Also — was able to get an appt within a week, and price was very reasonable.

I wasn’t happy with my hair, needed it cut but had to find somewhere to go. I was going out of town in 4 days so I went to Unilocal for help and was setup with Ramee.
I explained what hair style I used to have, I had some pictures on my phone. Ramee was able to make sense of what I was looking for, understood I was stressed out and that my hair didnt look good so I didn’t look good!
Ramee was awesome! Friendly, understanding and patient.

Lindsay is the best hair stylist at Stages. She has been doing my hair since she was in beauty school. She always remembers exactly what I want done. She even remembers my kid’s names. She really enjoys her work.

I stumbled across this salon when I was looking for a new hairstylist. It was close to my house so I thought I’d give it a try. The receptionist made me an appointment with Tara for the next day. I absolutely loved what she did to my hair! This was 6 months ago and I won’t go to anyone else! My daughter has now started going to Tara as well and she loves how she colors her hair as well. Tara listens to what you want and will give suggestions and recommendations if asked. I never have a hard time getting in with Tara which is perfect with my busy schedule. The only problem I found with the salon is that the receptionist is rarely at her desk to greet people or answer phones. Tara’s prices are great as well!

I have been going to stages for years and to the same two girls — Beth does my hair, Kelly is the esthetician and is great at waxing. The salon is beautifully decorated and welcoming. Definitely book your appointment here!
