Talk Of The Town Barber Shop

I’ve been coming to Talk of The Town for over 5 years now. They offer a good number of Great barbers and a cool atmosphere!!! Freddo always gives fresh and clean cuts!

Hands down the best haircut I have ever received. Customer for life. Carlos was on point first thing in the morning. My haircut was not easy either. 0 – 25

Came in with my 3 year old son, was greeted immediately. He got a fade from Oscar (Dallas). He did a great job, considering my 3 year old moved A LOT, an has like 3 cowlicks, one on his actual hair line and two in the back. I like the vibe in this space, seems community geared and creatively ran. I will be returning to this place, will be sending my husband as well. Only thing that wasn’t for me was the half naked centerfolds around the shop, I’m not a fan of scattered ass all over. However, I get it; it’s a man’s barber shop, I’m just a bit conservative lol.

Great barbershop. The workers are kind, funny and hard working! I don’t go anywhere else for a clean fade!

My boys have been going to an old school barber for many years but were wanting something a little more modern. Although the barbers were very nice to my boys and myself, I felt a little uncomfortable with the choice of music playing. That would be my only reason not to give 5 stars.
I will probably be back and just hope my boys don’t key into the language in the music… overall, love the cuts, the price and the friendliness of the barbers. And they have a free arcade to keep the boys busy.

I’ve have been looking for a capable barber for years, after several years of searching it seems I’ve finally found someone able to cut curly hair. I got a barber by the name of Mike. Clean cut hair, well kept facial hair and dam good with the clippers. For the first time in my life I genuinely enjoyed the hair cut I got. Trust me when I say my hair is a B*tch to cut and I was not expecting Mike to be able to do anything with it, but he cleaned me up darn good. The shop itself is lively, friendly and a bit loud, but if the other guys inside are as good as Mike then you’d be hard pressed to find a better shop than this. Just one side note, I know the Unilocal page says they take card but it’s cash only. Just a little heads up. But it’s worth every penny.

First time going. Had a great experience with a new barber named Carlos and the cut was just what I wanted. This is definitely the place for a taper or fade! Thumbs up!

I’ve been coming here for three years, and I can say that without a doubt this is the best barber shop in the 209. I get excellent service from Omar. I’ve been going to him for three years and I don’t even need to check my hair cut afterwards because I know it’s always on point. There is never a long wait for Omar. Hands down the best barber there.

Been going to Carlos @ Talk of the Town for 17 years now even before it was «TotT» and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else! Place gets packed fast but with 5 – 8 barbers always on duty it goes by fairly quick

Almost walked out, I made an appointment and was told to come in and ask for Daniel. But half an hour later from my appointment, Daniel was still busy. I’m a mom so I have a daily schedule thus the appointment I thought I had. Pele was kind enough to take my son after his appointment. I’m glad my son got Pele because boy my son’s hair came out Hella Sick! Thank you Pele, we will see you again…

Everything you should find at neighborhood barbershop they have.. even the crazy local who dances in front of the shop. Got cleaned up and lined in no time flat. Hit this place up.

Every time I need a cut I come here! All the barbers give the tightest cuts and although it’s $ 20 u pay for what you get. You can take your ass up the street for a 6 $ cut and see If you like it. Talk of the towns the shit

Mike did my little mans very first hair cut and he was amazing! my boy is 4 and had curly hair down to his butt and went to a Mohawk with a star design on the side. He was great with him along with doing a great job. Very pleased! Will definitely be taking him there in the future.

Very cool barber shop. I received an excellent new style haircut !!!
Fist time I had my hair cut this way. The barber who performed my cut had himself good style which put me more at ease when asking for this new cut. He was friendly and professional.
I didn’t give 5 stars because I believe the business could easily throw away the old warn out ripped couches and invest in some new couches. Also a new coat of paint with some baseboards, in my opinion, could go a long way in making the place more inviting.
I also did not know that they only accept cash. I did not see a sign posted about this and was petty embarrassed to ask to leave my ID and then have to run to the bank to pull out come cash. I almost never carry cash.
I believe this establishment has a great deal of potential !!!
Again the atmosphere was youthful and fun. I would defiantly go back for another haircut. I liked the loud rap music that was playing. Most other barber shops that I have been to have an old man vibe to them, however, old man barber shops are still better than going to a salon and listening to all the gossiping.

Best place in town to get a hair cut. Although I’m warning you! Be prepared to wait for about 3hrs before you get your hair cut unless you get a hair cut from one of the barbers who are not occupied, usually don’t give good haircuts. Also if you do decide to wait on a good barber like Omar, Pele, or anybody you prefer, be prepared to hear Carlos bitch and complain about how full and busy certain barbers are how unorganized they’re schedule is etc. etc. if I want a particular barber I will wait for them to cut me up. Because other barbers have messed up my be my brothers hair because they just can’t do the particular haircut we like. Therefore I prefer to wait for my barber but I also can’t stand Carlos bitching and mumbling about how many people prefer other barbers.

This is a barber shop, not a salon or your commercialized Supercuts. I walked in and got a sense that these barbers mean business. It was my first time in, I didn’t know if I needed to take a number or sign in somewhere. The place was packed, which was a good sign. The décor around the shop was fresh, they were bumping some good hip hop (Nas, Big, Outkast). I waited some, but like most good things, waiting is part of the process. When it was my turn, I was greeted by Renata. Great fade, attention to detail, and friendly service. Good vibe between the team. The SF vs. Xmen arcade game def fit in. I’ll be coming back. Best advice I can give is get your barbers name, check in with them when you walk in and see how many ppl are in waiting on them.

Best place for everyday cuts. When you go in the shop ask for Omar Goodness and tell him to hook you up. Omar’s the one to give the fly look plus the barbers are so cool to be around they play some loud music.

Their whole team can cut. But I like going to Chey!

Everyone here can fade tight. I’ve literally been cut by everyone in the shop except the owner (he stays busy) and they’ve all done bangin jobs. Renata usually hooks me up but Fredo, Pretty boy, Chino and the loud Mexican clown in the back corner can get down too. Xmen V SF and good music add to this place too.

Carlos has been my barber for the last 10 years and he has never let me down. I get compliments on my fades all the time. The shop has a ton of parking and is very close to the freeway. The team manages their time wisely and wait times are very minimal. Trust these guys, you will be happy.
