Just as crappy as the one in Riverbank. Too greasy to dry. No flavor. No costumer service. The register girls are rude as well. I will no longer spend my money at this Taqueria Los Campadria S and the one in Riverbank. Crap!

The worst service I’ve ever had. I ordered a chicken salad and found a huge cockroach under my lettuce. I called to speak to a manager, and the only thing she had to say was that I was acting like I’ve never seen a cockroach before. The manager didn’t apologize or do anything about. I will never buy food there again.

Ordered the enchiladas. All I can say is don’t do it. it ended up costing be 9 bucks for 2 small taquitos with red sauce on them. No cheese, sour cream, beans, rice, nothing at all in it or on it. just two thumb nail sized pieces of chicken I left hungry even though I spent 12 bucks total. My friend ordered the chimichanga, and paid extra to make it a combo. When he got his plate they gave him only the chimichanga and didn’t give him his beans and rice. When he asked they called him a liar got defensive and said he didn’t pay extra even though I saw him do so. They are just bad people who don’t care about their customers. Its also not very clean.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Restuarant. To start, the younger man that took my order seemed to be more concerned with how he looked than providing any amount of quality service, or even common decency. He acted as if I was bothering him. After taking my money he just yelled«Next!» The problem I had was a common one. how they tried to solve it was the real downer. I ordered chili Colorado, They gave me a chimichanga. The chimichanga looked like a fine choice but I had my heart set on meat and red sauce. When I told them about the issue they took my plate, dumped the chimi in the trash and slapped some red sauce on the plate and handed it back to me dripping(on the outside of the to go container) with sauce. I brought the new issue to their attention, they looked at the plate and said«que?» No apology, which is ok but the attitude was very rude. They took the plate back and wiped it off with a nasty dirty rag and handed it back to me. The experience continued to get worse. I’m bordering on TLDR, so to be short, try any other Mexican joint, you’d be happier.

Won’t find a better deal for amazing Mexican food in Modesto. Clean salsa bar and very friendly staff. Nachos, guacamole, and breakfast burritos are simply unparalleled. If this wasn’t your go to taqueria yesterday, it will be tomorrow after you eat there today!

I’ve been coming to this place for year, and have affectionately nicknamed it «T.L.C.». TLC is located in the Roseburg Shopping Center. This is super convenient because this right off of the Virginia Corridor, aka the awesome bike/walking path. So, the walking or biking score is super high. This makes it an awesome neighborhood spot. Also, come here to eat before you go grocery shopping, and you won’t buy unnecessary food items. The food is pretty standard Mexican food for the area. I think the prices are comparable to other sit down places. So, $ 2-$ 3 for a taco and $ 5-$ 8 for a burrito. The burritos are pretty big. You will not be hungry later. As with other food places of this style, you will get a basket of chips and a salsa bar, beer is offered by the bottle, and wine is offered by the glass. The staff, in my experiences, are always nice. I’ve have never had a bad experience and have always had friendly interactions. I dig this place.

My all time favorite neighborhood spot… Their nachos and salsa bar are delicious. Relaxed atmosphere. Great for families.

After several inconsistent tries, I’ve given up on this place. The food is cheap, but it’s hit or miss. They people taking your orders are hit or miss as well. There’s a young guy who is fantastic and gets my order every time, and then there’s a shorter older lady who kept messing up my order and most recently copped an attitude after messing up my order. I couldn’t believe her demeanor. I’ll never go back now. So much for customer service. I definitely recommend to stay away from here.

This used to be my favorite place for Mexican food, however it has become so inconsistent here depending on who the cook is! I still would recommend it if you’re planning on dining there. Do not order food to go… It is the absolute worse!!! Totally sloppy and rip you off on your portions.

This used to be my favorite place in town. It’s gone downhill in the last few months. The service is slow, the portions are smaller, the price is up and they no longer have to-go cups and the drink prices have increased. It’s just sad, they lost a customer.

My fav close to home taqueria. Last night it was packed so I’m not the only fan. Nice little salsa serve yourself area kept nice and clean. Lately I’ve been hooked on the nachos. Sooo filling and yummy. I get it loaded with everything which is cheese, sour cream, guacamole, beans, salsa and it depends if its a beef of pork feeling night. Oh and I recommend letting the dude make you a Michelada. They were out of the big cans last night so the counter guy offered to make us one. I requested negra modelo and my bestie got the regular modelo. Zesty tasty spicy refreshment. Check’em out. I do several times a week:)

Everything is good … everything … the grilled chicken rocks and this is my favorite salsa bar in Modesto. Carlos and everyone behind the counter are friendly, fast and awesome!

Yum, yum, yum! I’ve tried Chimichanga, burritos, nachos, and several other things. Every item is delicious! And large! I always take half home for dinner. We must have first gone with friends from church after church, and it’s been a special place ever since! I’ve always gotten exactly what I asked for in a reasonable amount of time, no matter how completely crowded they were(especially after church!). My daughter once went with a small group, and somehow something went wrong, where she(a teen) didn’t think someone paid for an item correctly. When I went and explained to staff that I was worried something had not been paid for, and I wanted to pay, they took full responsibility and would not let me pay. How gracious! The self serve condiments and drinks are always clean and fresh! The ambiance is nice, with enough seating, but spacious, so we don’t feel like we are stacked on top of other guests at all. There is plenty of light, and comfortable seating. The staff is nice. The food is good. I love it!

good simple basic and cheap. Good fish tacos(not fried!) shrimp nachos, tacos. Several different salsas, great cabbage, good guacamole. Definitely Mexican comfort food. Family owned and operated, yeah it’s always busy and you might have to wait in line but time it better! Don’t go at 5:30! They’re busy because they’re good!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, and I would have if I had reviewed it a few years ago. Unfortunately something bad has happended recently. I’ve been going here for about 15 years, and unfortunately I no longer bother. It appears in an effort to save money they use less meat and more air in their enchiladas. The last time I ordered a tamale, it was so soggy I had to send it back. i haven’t bothered ordering anythng else the last few visits as I expect it to be no better. I once really loved this place and it holds a lot of good memories for me, but it just isn’t the same. Perhaps it’s a result of trying to stay in business during a time of high inflation and poor economy. In any event, it will now have to reamin a part of my past. I’ll give it 3 stars for old time sake, but if I had only been a recent visitor, it probably wouldn’t merit over 2.

We go to this restaurant most of the time when we want Mexican food. My other half loves the carnitas burrito. It has too much meat in it for my taste although this isn’t a problem with most people? Great chips(most of the time) and I love their salsa bar. It gets really crowded at lunch and on Saturday and Sunday so go a little early or late to find a table. We also like to order fajitas and split it. Although I really like the fajitas, they sometimes have too much grease for my taste. All in all, pretty darn good food for the price!

Don’t know how I overlooked this place in my Unilocalimetrics… I’ve come here several times in the last two years and they never disappoint me! Today I had the Shrimp Cocktail for 8.5 which is a bit pricey for a lunch in my book but it was worth every penny. I received a goblet brimming with perfectly cooked large shrimp and big chunks of avocados. The sauce was a bit sweet for my palate so I bumped it up with a few dashes of hot sauce. Prior to getting my cocktail I had their complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were ok, the salsas are delicious! Why only 4 stars? Service is ok, ambiance is meh, food is great.

I don’t know how this place does not have a five star review, Modesto Unilocalers are clearly not in the know! This has been a staple in my diet for almost 10 years, since I went to Roosevelt Junior High. They have an amazing salsa bar, and you get free chips with any order. Taqueria Los Compadres makes the best burrito you will ever have in your life, some mean fajitas, and great tacos too. It honestly rivals most Mexican places I’ve been too– even my boyfriend comes from the bay area just to get his hands on one of their burritos. They make what I think of as «true» Mexican food, and are a steal in terms of prices. Honestly, the next best, and only cheaper Mexican food would be from a taco truck. This place is a local favorite for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, and you don’t know how truly incredible their food is until you move out of Modesto and have to settle for crappy Text Mex :(.
