First time here for brunch today. The décor is really cute, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. We were advised that they were down one server today due to an emergency, but thought they they did pretty well considering and we were seated immediately. It’s a brunch buffet on Sundays that includes one mimosa per person. Lots of varied items including Mexican and Italian food stations, fresh, chilled crab and shrimp, a carving station, an omelette station and a salad and dessert bar. My husband said the New York steak was very good, and he enjoyed his omelette. Lots of vegetarian options for me and most were good. The temperature was off on a few items(cold Spanish rice, shrimp could have been more chilled), but overall we enjoyed our meal.

Granted this place is a little out of the way, but that’s part of its charm. It’s huge — they use the hall for receptions and other events during the evening s– so there’s never a wait to be seated. Sunday brunch is the best! Food selections include a salad bar, hot entrees like chicken Marsala, pasta and Mexican favorites, crab legs, shrimp and your standard breakfast fare. They also have an omelet station and a carving station with ham and beef. Best of all, they keep close tabs on the food, and they refill it before it runs out. They have both inside and outside seating, but personally I like the patio. And the price point is right too — $ 19.99, and that includes one mimosa.

Short and sweet: Lunch special last week was crab cakes. Absolutely delicious and for $ 8.99, a hellova deal. My wife was jealous, although her Cobb Salad was excellent as well. Our very friendly server said they were thinking of making them a regular special. Please do! The Post is a hidden gem.

Nice place but very hidden and unknown. Building is huge with big courtyard and well designed interior with great artistry on the walls. Very beautiful décor. Due to the fact that they rarely advertise, their hidden location and that they are only open for lunch it is very empty. Sunday brunch is a nice time to come. They have a variety of food from traditional eggs, bacon and sausage to steak and ham to Mexican specialties. $ 20 for all you can eat and one Mimosa. Food is good not great but place has great potential of the word got out more.

Wanted to love it — but didn’t. The waitress was great, really attentive and helpful and she gets 5 stars! But the food was just ok. My Reuben(pastrami) was tasty but the pastrami was tough and chewy which makes it unpleasant to eat. The fries were crunchy and perfect . I had a cup of soup(Tapatio chicken) which had a distinct vinegar flavor and being that I’m not a fan of Tapatio — I should have stayed away. They do have a salad bar but it’s also just ok(didn’t have it) but looked. It has iceberg lettuce(maybe the precut kind you buy at the store) and then a few other selections to go on top. I hate iceberg lettuce for salads unless it’s a blue cheese wedge and then it’s absolutely necessary. Supposedly the brunch is on point so who knows — maybe I’ll give it another try. The whole décor and food choice is just confusing to me. The décor is very Italian which I love, but the food is Mexican and some Italians choices(not to mention they were playing Spanish music) which kills the whole Italian vibe. Just confusing. Hmmm.

The post is an awesome restaurant. Good food. Good price. Love the taco Tuesday’s. The only problem is that it is located in an unsuitable place. If this were to be like in downtown Modesto. It would be one of the places to eat. Hands down.

The food is good, friendly servers and low prices, but do not go in with a large group if you need separate checks. This is a problem for me ’cause I go out with friends often. Most restaurants will gladly give separate checks if you ask, but not here. That’s simply too much hassle for me when there are local venues just as good, that’ll put the customer first on this issue. Other than that, the place is okay.

This huge restaurant is welcoming and delicious! My favorite is the décor, nothing like it in Stanislaus County. They do events also. I had them do a party for me in April & we had a blast and the service was perfect. Would definitely do it again! Try their fish & pasta dishes! Yummy!

Today, I went to The Post Restaurant and Bar. It was my first time there. To be honest, I wasn’t sure that I was going to like it. But I was definitely wrong. The food was better than most of the restaurants in Modesto. And they are reasonably priced as well. I had the«Poppin Post Burger». It was such a huge hamburger for only $ 9. Our server was super friendly and was really quick to help us. The location was a little hard to find, but it was worth the drive. I will be going back for not just a second time, but as a regular. Thank you for a great atmosphere and wonderful service.

Love this place. Staff is amazing(love the manger) and they do everything that they can to make sure you enjoy your meal. I make sure I visit once or twice a year when I travel up to Modesto for business and i have never had a bad experience. Love their food and the bar!!! Amazing drinks! They have a great Patio area seating that is very nice!
