Took a tour here — way cool!!!
I’ve always wanted to know what was inside the DOME… and now I know. :o) We were fortunate enough to get an inside look of the workings of a cement plant. It was very interesting. Our guides gave us an in depth look into the process of making cement — from the start to the finish. We even got to tour the control center. That was pretty awesome!
Best part — we got to take home some CLINKER! Woohoo! I love CLINKER.
What is clinker you ask? Well, you’ll just have to take a tour to find out. :o)
Oh yeah… and something else cool we learned? Cement is not Concrete!

Toured the CA Portland Cement plant in Mojave. Super-​interesting manufacturing process. I learned about «clinker». Recommend a tour for yourself or your group if you have the opportunity.
