I have only been here once with coworkers and it was a great experience. The man who waited on us, Santos, was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. I ventured outside of my comfort zone and got vegetarian chicken. The food was pretty good. I’d go back to try other things!

Good food — especially liked the pumpkin curry. But it’s expensive, more expensive than it should be,

Love the food. A great place to try new types of food. The atmosphere is very welcoming and low-key. The staff is great, also.

I’ve been to Thailand twice. The food at Exotic Thai is completely authentic and mind-glowingly delicious. Order the lemongrass short ribs — best ribs I have EVER had, hands down. My favorite thing on the menu is the grilled shrimp with papaya salad — make sure you order it with sticky rice for the most authentic(and delicious) experience. Their yum yai salad is also wonderful. The tom kha soup is fantastic. Their green curry(kang kyowan) is phenomenal, and I always order it with sticky rice as well. All their noodle dishes are a slam-dunk; my favorites are pad see u, spicy basil noodles, and of course pad thai. I haven’t had the pineapple fried rice but I have heard from many people that it is amazing. Finally, do NOT skip desert! Their sweet sticky rice is so yummy, so make sure you leave room for it. Yes, the prices are a bit steep, but it’s totally worth it. I am so happy we have such a wonderful Thai restaurant in our area. What a blessing! The people who serve you, by the way, are very attentive and accommodating. Atmosphere is lovely. The décor is Thai, as is the music they play. A fully immersive Thai experience! Five star, no question.

I was surprised to find a Thai restaurant in Moline, but was craving it and ordered carry out. I ordered larb and red curry with chicken. This was some of the best Thai food I have eaten. Nice spice. The freshness of the lime in the larb was delicious! Service was prompt and friendly. If I ever make it back to the Quad Cities, I will be stopping back in.

pad Thai, fresh roll and iced tea would always be my first and only choice at a Thai restaurant… Exotic Thai provides a good taste of these.

We did a pit-stop here on our way to Chicago. This place is really really really good, and probably the best Thai I’ve had around the area. I got a red curry dish which wasn’t too spicy, although you can request them to make it spicy, and it was delicious! I’d drive from Cedar Rapids to get my Thai fix if I could. Great place, will definitely be back soon. PS. Service was quite fast as well.

Exotic Thai has always been my favorite Thai restaurant in the Quad cities!!! I always get the chicken and noodles not very spicy, but has a kick of flavor!!! And to drink I get jasmine ice tea and its amazing!!! The tea has a slight sweetness that does not take away the flavor of the jasmine, and it’s super refreshing!!! Highly recommend this place!!!

I always have a pleasant dining experience here. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is always very friendly. The food is fabulous and the portions are big enough to take home leftovers for lunch the next day.

My favorite Asian eats place in town. Definitely a date atmosphere and not family friendly but that’s good when on a date night with the wife. Never dissapoints and the service is great.

Atmosphere. Private and dark like a smokers lounge. Nice for a private date. Not so nice for a family meal. Food. I rarely send food back, but unfortunately my spicy pad Thai was burnt. When I showed the waitress a burnt noodle she said she would tell the manager and see if a new one could be made. Second time… it came out way less spicy and with no peanuts and no side dressing. It looked just dumped on the plate and like a completely different dish. My daughter’s chicken noodles was tasty and made well. My husband’s crispy mango chicken from the exotic wok menu tasted like a sweet n sour chicken that was not crispy but very soggy. Service. No one said hello when we came in. One lady eventually came after a 3 min wait that asked, how many? But then took off before we could answer to yell, «I am going to clean a table» our individual waitress was pleasant and dealt with the food issue nicely. When the kitchen seemed to make excuses for the burnt flavor because I ordered it extra spicy she even said it didn’t make sense but that’s what they told her. It’s sad that the manager left this waitress to deal with the issue and never made their presence known. Price. Not worth the price. Across the street there is a buffet for less and more variety. There are also two other Thai places within the qca. We traveled all the way from Arizona to revisit restaurants we miss since our move. Sadly we won’t be visiting this Thai restaurant in the future vacations.

Some of the best Thai food I had in a while. Really recommend it. Pad prik sod was absolutely amazing.

Exotic Thai is a hard one to review for me. Out of the 3 main thai options in the QC, Exotic Thai comes in third.(The three are: Kongs, Lemongrass and Exotic Thai)(I’m not counting Thai Basils in silvis because it is glorified Chinese food.) The thing is, I live really close to exotic thai so I find myself there a lot. It is more expensive than the other 2, which is a downside. Service is also better at Kongs and Lemongrass. I’ve had: Drunken Noodles, Crispy Duck, Khao Soi, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Nam Prik Ong… and a few other I can’t remember the name of. Every dish is good but not great. They all teeter on the almost great line. Not sure what the problem is. Pretty sure Lemongrass is owned by the same people as Exotic Thai, too. Long story short: If you’re about to die and you are granted one last Thai meal… Go to Lemongrass.

Read the reviews and had to try it. The front desk said that they have people stay at their hotel specifically to eat at this restaurant and I can see why. I had the Khao Soi after asking for an authentic native dish(otherwise boring noodles, cilantro and onion made delicious by a flavorful coconut broth plus your choice of meat) and the basil rolls at Unilocal recommendation as takeout. The takeout was ready on time and very well packaged where I was to combine the broth and noodles at home, keeping it fresh. Huge portion for my entrée to where I didn’t need the basil rolls … which were lightly fired and delicious. Though I have only been here one time and did not eat in, I would certainly come back again.

I am sorry to say this place has gone down hill when it comes to service. Time in to restaurant 11:35am Finish time 1:00pm Total Time 1hr 25min Came in with a party of 4 no one says hello, the waitress is busy putting a table together for 5 people. Sat there for 10 – 15 mins. The table of five is seated and order taken and we are still waiting. We get our order in and then end up waiting and waiting for our food. table of five is done and we still have no food. two other tables come and go. I get my food which was suppose to be Pad Thai with Tofu and inserted its got chicken in it. At this point I will eat anything. I really want to say I am a very easy going guy and I am not a super picky reviewer but this is the third time that something like this has happened at Exotic Thai.

Really good seafood. The Poh Tak soup was my «out on a limb» dish and I was very surprised at how good it was. I now have to find this soup at every Thai restaurant I eat at.

I got takeout here while in town for a work visit. I ordered the Fresh Roll and vegetable drunken noodles. The food was ready quickly, and the cashier was quite nice. The restaurant looked nice enough, fairly casual. I took my food to go. I was pleased that the fresh rolls were still cold when I got to eat them. They were quite good, and the sauce was great! It was a different kind of sauce than I am used to, sweet and very flavorful. The drunken noodles came with a nice quantity of vegetables and egg mixed in. The egg was different, but a nice addition. The noodles were not what I normally get from Thai places back in Maryland. These were tiny, thin cellophane noodles, not the wide ones I am used to. They were alright, just different. The dish was not spicy at all, but came with a side of hot pepper sauce which gave it a nice flavor. Without the sauce, it was a very sweet dish. I liked the variety of veggies(asparagus, broccoli, baby corn) but the dish did not blow me away. I would eat here again if I was in town again, but maybe get a different main dish.
