They recently updated their restaurant, and it was a great improvement. We had brunch there, and the quality and selection was impressive. They”ve added a bar that was nice, too. The service was friendly and thorough, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Another review for Chris in the floral department! I am originally from Geneseo, but now live in Chicago. We had our wedding back in Geneseo, so I was a little worried about planning from afar. As soon as we met with Chris though, we knew we were in good hands! He is so nice and easy to work with. You can instantly tell that he knows a great deal about flowers, floral arrangements, wedding floral and, above all, that he seems to just love what he does(and he’s great at it by the way)! We did a rustic but elegant outdoor wedding in September and the flowers were just stunning. He did such a lovely job balancing blush as the signature color while also featuring deep jewel tones and different textures like curly willow and lambs ear as well as feathers! My bouquet was so beautiful that put it in a giant vase and took it on our mini-moon… it made each hotel room and our cabin smell and look divine! :) I HIGHLY recommend Chris!

This review is for Chris in the floral department. After an extremely disappointing experience with a well-known florist in the area, I visited with Chris for flowers for my wedding. We’re from the Chicago area so most of our communication had to be done over email. Chris was fabulous. He was very responsive, offered tons of great ideas and suggestions, really listened to what I envisioned for our wedding, and was just a very pleasant person to work with. It was very obvious he knew a lot about flowers and arrangements and really cared about making our wedding day beautiful. He personally delivered our centerpieces and bouquets to the venue, and even waited for the cake so he could decorate it though the bakery(not Hy-Vee) was late. He also thwarted an accidental bride-groom run-in before the ceremony! The flowers were AMAZING, they were exactly what I wanted. If I were to plan my wedding all over again, I would definitely go with Hy-Vee, thanks to Chris!

This Hy-Vee location has a great fruit/salad bar for lunch. $ 6.99 for all you can eat fruit/soup/salad, including a drink. Everything is always very fresh and tasty. This location also has a really nice olive bar(think Whole Foods) and a great selection of packaged gourmet meats and cheeses. Not all Hy-Vee’s were created equally.

Went today to have Chinese and it was the worst I have ever tasted. So disappointed. Food was flavorless and chicken seemed old and slimy. The associate that waited on us was rude. I love the Locust st hyvee so much better.

Stopped here today for lunch at salad buffet. Always a best choice any HyVee store. I only have a large dish of pineapple, usually. Is always fresh and great. This chain of stores probably has best salad bar selection to be found anywhere. Glad we have one soon open our home town. Great food choices throughout the deli area. Sushi is very good and always a fav thing here also.

Coming from bigger cities, I thought the prices here were really more than reasonable. I’ve been to a HyVee in Madison, but this was way better. They also serve fresh food here, and I have to say, the hash browns are AWESOME. Really crispy and tasty.

Awesome grocery store. Great deals, friendly smiles, and helpful service. The food sections are also very good — italian, salad bar, chinese, and sushi bar are all very delicious!

I really really like that Hy-Vee is employee owned, it shows when you shop there and the employees take pride in their store. It’s just a wee bit more than I wanted to spend for the area. If I wanted to spend money like that I would have stayed in Chicagoland, I like the low cost of living out here and I just can’t fit Hyvee into that. I would love to be an ethical shopper out of principle, but when I know for a fact I’m getting overcharged for something I can’t justify it. Oh, and the lunchmeat I bought here was slimy one day later. ONE day later. Come on man.

I only give 1 star because I cant give 0 Absolutely NO smiles here! I’m not sure why they make a point of asking if you found everything ok if they don’t care at all anyway. I need help finding a Kraft spaghetti kit and you would think an employee of 10+ years might be of assistance. She acted rude and uninterested in helping at all. After she took a quick look around and then a brief computer check, she announces that they must not sell it anymore. I also tell her that Silvis Hyvee sells a certain pretzel chip for over a year now and Moline Hyvee does not have them at all. She explains that Moline store must not want to carry that pretzel chip even though the Moline store manager wanted to know more about them for ordering purposes. After getting the manager involved in the spaghetti kit hunt, she discovered where it should have been, and said that Moline store forgot to reorder it. I don’t know why I waste time going there when I have to finish up my shopping at Jewel or Walmart. Even Silvis Hyvee has a huge display of Kraft spaghetti kits in the center isle. Moline Hyvee is the worst grocery store in Rock Island County. AVOID

I love Hyvee. I’m from the Chicago suburbs and when I moved out to Rock Island/Moline, I was in serious denial that anything could be better than Jewel. How wrong I was. You don’t need to have a card in order to get a discount, they’re always friendly and they have a much larger selection of food at Hyvee than any other grocery store I know of. On top of that, this is a new location so it’s SUPERCLEAN. And has a huge produce section.
