I’ve yet to have a coffee here that wasn’t delicious. That includes both hot and cold pour-overs, which is my favorite method of making coffee. The café has that cool brick-and-steel post-industrial design to it, and feels plenty big. Not nearly as crowded as some of the other coffee shops around here, plus it’s right off the Moline bike path if you’re feeling green. WiFi and power plugs are available too, and the baristas are younger – so they don’t seem to mind the laptop nomads. Definitely recommended.

While visiting the Quad Cities, we looked for a place for breakfast that wasn’t one of the chain restaurants. Saw this place on Unilocal and thought it would be an ideal place to go. We were not disappointed. Food, though limited in options, was delicious. Coffee was great. Atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Our only complaint was the loud heavy rock music that played most of the time we were there. Will definitely go back during our next visit to the area.

Truly love the place and the environment, but it’s super disappointing that they have zero vegetarian breakfast options.

I started going last summer and am a huge fan of the chicken apple salad. I could eat it pretty much every day and not get tired of it. They also have an AMAZING gluten free chocolate chip cookie. I don’t have a problem with gluten but have friends who do so we tried it. The cookie, gluten free aside, is a pretty damn good cookie. Try to get one that’s on the under-done side and you won’t be sorry(if you like that kind of thing). The cookie is pricey but the salad is reasonable. My only«complaint» is it’s unpredictable when they will have the cookies.

The food and service is awesome. Atmosphere is a little industrial but yet a little steam punk. Just a awesome place to come!

Great atmosphere. Right by the river, and Milltown has huge windows for a great view. Food and drinks are great. We’ve had the Cajun wrap a few times, and the portions are generous. I always end up not being able to finish mine. My favorite breakfast spot.

Milltown is great– it has a cool vibe(especially for the Quad Cities), an awesome view, and really good coffee/breakfast. I had the plain drip coffee and a breakfast sandwich– the brioche they use is killer. This weekend was my second visit in two weeks, and my new go-to when I’m visiting my family in the QC… my family is in Davenport, but it’s worth the drive across the river.

Highest quality coffee and espresso that the QC has seen, not to mention the other drinks and food offered. The staff is friendly and the ambience cannot be matched. All of their syrups for their lattes are homemade and their food is simple, yet unique and tastes incredible. The honey used in the popular Miels and gluten free almond flour cookies is even locally produced less than an hour away. Milltown uses the best products and even has a Progenex protein shake for all of the athletes in the area. The coffee and espresso Milltown uses is roasted at their sister store 30⁄30 in Peoria, and is organic and fair trade. If you’re in the Quad Cities Milltown is a must!

First off, I will admit that I am a coffee snob(if that means anything to you while you read this review). For a coffee shop in the QC, Milltown is among the best. Atmosphere — awesome. It’s large so there’s always a place to sit, and it’s spread out and quiet enough to get work done, or have a conversation with a friend. It has huge windows that overlook the Mississippi River. Coffee — they have more options than most in the QC. If you like pour overs like me, you’re gonna be fine here! They’ve got V60 and Chemex(I don’t think other shops in the QC even know what those are). Espresso drinks are good and fairly priced too. My drink of choice right now is just a cappuccino and they get their ratios just about perfect(espresso, milk, foamed milk, etc.) Service — you shouldn’t have any problems here. Their baristas are knowledgeable and friendly!

I came to Milltown Coffee for a meeting with some friends and… WOW! A+ A+ First of all, the atmosphere, aura, fireplace, kindness of employees, etc… gives you a great feeling when you come in. The barista recommended their most popular latte with almond milk, so I went for it and it was delicious. After our meeting, towards the end of the closing day, a cool staff member came out and offered all of us a slice of a new dessert he was baking for the holiday. It was an Apple Butter gingerbread, and it was INSANE. :-) Then he came out and gave us seconds… just to be nice. How could you walk out of Milltown Coffee without a smile after such a great experience like that? I was beaming. So A+ to Milltown! Love it! :-) –Adam xoxo

location! right on the Mississippi River, large parking lot and great selection of coffee and food. Staff is knowledgeable and they have free wifi and plenty of electrical outlets for chargers.

Coffee was great. Pour over and Chemex available. Breakfast sandwich was fine enough. Nothing spectacular. Pastry choices lacking when I was there around 11am. Ambiance is spacious and can’t beat the river view. Right off the river trail but no bike parking? Getting off and back on the trail by bike is tricky. 4 stars for good coffee and location.

For an out-of-towner, I can see this easily being a regular stop for locals. Great drinks, great food, good price, and a friendly smiling staff. Wifi is reliable. Décor is trendy. I recommend the banana nut toffee scone! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Laid back industrial atmosphere of a coffee house. Great place to get coffee or latte. Much better roast profile than Starbucks! The mocha latte is delicious. Also their Americano is tasty due to the roasting process.

Great place! Was in the area for a meeting so stopped by for a quick try an was very impressed. Love the interior for starters, the old warehouse style speaks to me. Weathered wood and brick and flat iron. Very nice! The drinks were tops also. Very balanced flavor in both the macchiato and cortado and a very good try on the art. It almost came together for them but not quite.

This is now the official coffee stop for The Don’t We Boys! in the Quad Cities! As traveling goofballs, we pride ourselves in our craft of comedy. Much like an artisan baker or butcher, we aim to chop up your belly with laughs. The artisan is often found in the coffee shop. When Joe Anderson gets his thumb in Unilocal(as a consumer, not a reviewer, sadly), he is able to pluck out only the VERYBEST of coffee. You’ll note from my opening video, that this is at least the TENTH beautifully-hip java building he’s brought us to. The photos should also give you an idea of the beautiful space they’ve curated out of what appeared to be an old warehouse. Very high ceilings and the awesome combination of exposed brick and wood furniture on cement floor made for a pleasant open view of the whole room. And to the coffee – I was served a cappuccino outside of the rules: to-go. They are hardasses to most a wanderer, and they should be. I should have simply taken the traditional six-ounce pour into a ceramic, but I persuaded them to my folly. The cap that I drank was truly delicious, but sullied by a forgotten extra two ounces of foam poured to full my eight-ounce cardboard cup with asshole lid. Why didn’t I heed their advice??? The barista did a stellar job – don’t get me wrong. This was my error. This can be exemplified by Joe’s review: «just as good as the best, and that includes Blue Bottle, Four Barrel and MadCap.» Also be noted: Joe’s follow up review came in the car after – not of the coffee. «I wish the food wasn’t so good, so I could just be talking about how good the coffee was,» to be followed shortly by: «it was the best sausage-based breakfast that I’ve ever had.» I’d be inclined to agree, but I can’t do that fully yet. Definitely ‘Top 3′ in my sausage-based breakfasts. To be clear: Joe and I split both the Cajun Sausage Wrap and the Potato, Ham & Egg Frittata. We’re sick bastards who love sharing and tasting as much as we can, whenever we can. Bottom line: this is my longest five-star review, with good reason. Enjoy!

The coffee is quality. Most of it is pour over style, which is nice. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. On one of my visits, I had some scrambled eggs for breakfast and they were great. The best part of Milltown is the facility. It’s clean, spacious, beautiful, and full of big windows with a great view of the Mississippi River. A downside is the temperature. It’s usually too cold, proabably because of how big the room is and it’s many windows. Another downside is the feel of the place is… industrial. I wish they had some local art, photographs, or something along those lines to make it feel more organic.

Very nice. Great coffees… We tried the Bananas Foster coffee(I think it was a seasonal special… a light banana flavor, but not too much) and the Miel coffee(honey and cinnamon flavor… sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet). A small selection of sandwiches and salads. Spacious seating, with high ceilings, a warm looking fireplace section, and tables for groups. I could easily imagine this place packed with students from the University, but on the morning we went, there were only a few others. It took them a bit to have our sandwiches ready, but they were made fresh, so that worked fine for us. The view is lovely, looking out to the river and all the birds. I hope to return again soon for another yummy coffee and sandwich and to enjoy another lovely day.
