What is it about candy stores that pulls me towards them. Candy Express was the magnet, Kay and I were the metallic shavings. They have chocolate-coated everything, even potato chips, but I’d never before had choco-covered graham crackers or Twinkies. Twinkies. On a stick. Could it get more obscene? I haven’t had a Twinkie in eons, and this one tasted like it had been around… for eons. Think of a foam mattress or sponge. Yeah, not tasty. However, the graham cracker scrumptious enough as was the crunchy choco-jacketed choco-chip cookie. I’ve had richer, sweeter, better chocolate, but whatever Candy Express uses is certainly up to par even if it doesn’t approach the exquisite evil of Sarris. Candy Express also has an array of penny candies with little shovels for scooping, loads of sugar-free items, and soft-serve ice cream. Yes, we were in a suburban mall in the year 2011.
