I think the one big disadvantage this place has is its size. Like the mall, this store is living in yesterland. With the music scene changing to more of a mobile format, most people rarely go to a chain music store. The store is stuck in the 90s, cut it down to either half or a quarter of the size and I am sure that this store would still be just as useful. As for the store itself, due to the sheer size of the place, it looks empty. Every rack is sparsely stocked and more times than any, you won’t find what you actually want. The staffing here is good. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and wasn’t badgered while I browsed. Pricing could be better, unless it’s a new release or a previously used item; you are paying a pretty penny for new music.

I wrote a very negative review a few years back but I’d like to edit it now because everyone who currently works there is great and kind and helpful.

Ok, I love this store because it is very metal. I will admit it, shallow as that may be. When a guy like me looks at the«staff picks» section and sees Blind Guardian, Pyramaze, Bathory, Celtic Frost, and Beherit, he can’t help but feel at home, hopeful that suburban mediocrity is being railed against by cultural rebel angels. The long-haired dude is named Adam. There’s another metalhead too, but I can’t remember his name. P. S. The selection in terms of everything else is quite good too. FYE is winning the entertainment chain wars handily.
