Absolutely dreadful. Depressing, old, disgusting restaurant. Not worth driving by in the parking lot.

Buffet has many options from suishi, American, and Chinese. Food is continually re-stocked, did have a hard piece of pizza, but overall a good meal for the price. Easy access, just across from Walmart and the furnature stores.

I’ve been to the New Century buffet probably 20 times. As others have said, I come here for food quantity as opposed to food quality. The lunch and dinner prices are pretty good(lunch is around $ 8, dinner is around $ 11, I think). The food here is okay; I like the diversity and I don’t think there is any food here I don’t like. The peanut butter chicken, red beef, coconut shrimp, and orange tiramisu are probably my four favorite things here. I’m not a fan of the salmon(tasteless), any of the soup(bland), or of the fruit(not cut up too well). I’d try to come after 12 if possible. One time I went right when they opened at 11 and it was 11:20 before they had anything out on the buffet, and 11:45 before most of the buffet tables had food. The waitresses are ok for the most part, but i find that they can be slow on drink refills usually. I’ll come back to New Century, but I certainly wouldn’t bring a first date here.

Found some fabric in the mushrooms, food was warm but not hot. Employees were eating in the dining room with guests. Lunch special did not seem too special to my friend and I. Edit: Strawberry covered bananas brought up a star

Buffet price per person is pretty descent. I went there to get a To Go order. The lady at the front desk is very outstanding when it comes to customer service. I have seen people coming by that seems to be a regular customer where she had a casual conversation. As of the food, all i can say is that, it passed my kids taste bud. They all had a good amount of food for dinner

I have to give this place a five all day, especially after witnessing a woman with her friend berate the poor owner and staff about their food, refuse to pay because the food was ‘not fresh’ and then called the police. Stay classy, Beaver County. But anyway. The staff are pleasant, all of my go-to choices are there, and I was pleasantly surprised at the addition of kimchi, something I absolutely love. I live with Crohn’s Disease, but I can still fill up plenty on the rice, seafood, kimchi and egg drop soup with ease(with the occasional dessert.) If you like going to Chinese buffets as much as myself, then I’d encourage you to give this one a try.

We came for lunch around 2 pm, they had very little proteins, and what was there had been seriously picked over, after asking for help with getting the products refilled, I was informed they had just had a «rush». 45 minutes later the buffet was still very low and out of several entrees. I will say I have been here well over a dozen times and was happy with the choices. This was not my best visit.

Composite review: I’ve been to this food presentation 4 – 5 times over the years. It has been consistent as a buffet venue — decent food, correctly presented, pleasant staff, clean facilities, and great parking in the very large«Lowe’s lot.» I suggest going just before the official lunch hour, or later in the afternoon when the newly prepared pans are brought out. Shrimp has been good as well as the rolls. f8 and be there.

My family really likes this buffet. Food is consistently good, It’s always clean, and Waitstaff is attentive. Have tried most of the Chinese buffets around the area, and this is by far one of the best!

Typical menu and dining experience as you’ll find in every other American-Chinese restaurant, however for the area, from Chippewa to Beaver to Monaca, this is our favorite. It’s the most consistent in the food, and if we have a craving for Americanized Chinese food, this is where we go!

I am always surprised at how many overweight people in wheelchairs/scooters go to this place. It’s scary. Maybe its because they have four buffets to choose from that feature salad, fish, american food, and dessert. The prices here are great and the food is always fresh. They have a common eating area and a small room in the back for parties. They even play the Chinese Happy Birthday song. I love the dragon statue out front too as well.

I prefer to go here for lunch instead of dinner because I don’t think that ever eat enough for the dinner price. They have a large assortment of things and you always get seated quickly. The food is decent for a buffet and if you look in the paper you can find coupons.

In an effort to impress my date, I brought her to the New Century Chinese Buffet. It was quite a drive from her residence, but I knew if I was going to make a lasting impression on her, it would take a swanky place like this all-you-can-eat buffet. We both wanted to taste as much as possible here, so the first trip to the buffet netted us about ten different entrees each. While much of the food seemed relatively fresh, the dumplings and spring rolls were anything but, and my date’s fried rice was twice as dry as the episode of Judge Judy that was on the restaurant’s TV. Beyond those three complaints, we enjoyed our food and it was worth the sixteen dollars I spent, although I did tell her that the bill was much more to lock in a another date. Our favorites from the restaurant were the sweet and sour chicken(which was certainly some of the best I’ve had at a buffet), the pepper steak(the steak in it left something to be desired, but the green peppers more than made up for it), and the spicy chicken with jalepeño peppers in it. I didn’t have anyting for dessert because I decided to try the garlic bread, ham, and corn. Chinese garlic bread, ham, and corn taste much like the variants I’ve been enoying all these years except for with more butter. My attractive date sampled the apple pie, and two seperate dishes with bananas in them. She enjoyed them almost as much as I ejoyed her company, which was quite a bit. If you’re looking for a decent Chinese meal at a low price, this place is definitely worth checking out, especially during busier hours when the food is being replenished at a reasonable rate.

Not a bad place. Lot’s of variety and the stir fry station tastes great. For a low price, you can get a variety of things compared to most of the Chinese Buffets around.

On my way home from work yesterday Mom calls me and tells me to meet her for dinner at «the Chinese place by Lowes». This is a place we have come to more than a few times. The price is okay, and you get what you pay for. I seriously think there is a manual circulating in the Asian countries«How to Migrate to America and Open Your Own Restaurant in 5 Easy Steps». I only say that because it seems most«Chinese buffets» offer the exact same selection of cuisine. I kept my selection down to chow mein noodles, friend dumplings, and spring rolls. Each of these items were passable, but the dumplings left me wanting more. The steamed rice was good, but not as sticky as I prefer. I also found myself going back for seconds of the watermelon. It was chilled and juicy. I usually get some egg drop soup, but just wasn’t in the mood for a hot soup on a humid day, but salt is usually needed to flavor the soup. Over all, New Century doesn’t have any outstanding qualities, but for a quick meal it works.

New Century Chinese Buffet in Monaca, PA has your standard Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet($ 7.95 + $ 1.75 drink) featuring your typical Anglo-Chinese(and quasi-Japanese) selections — General Tso’s chicken, pepper steak, chicken broccoli, stuffed mushrooms, cheese mussels, peanut sauce chicken, teriyaki chicken sticks, egg rolls, California roll sushi, and more. They have the standard fare in soups too — won ton(not fresh at all), hot n’ sour(heavy on the cornstarch goop), and egg drop(bland goop). They also have a selection of goopy, overly sweet desserts, soft serve ice cream, and fruit that has been brought out to room temperature and back to the refrigerator too many times. There are American options available, too: pizza, fried chicken, etc. They offer take-out pricing in case you want to take food out by the pound. Of the countless visits(at least 20?), I’ve only gotten stomach sickness once(I remember reporting to management that their jello tasted strange) and my wife choked(no kidding) on a sinewy piece of cheap meat just once. I hate to say we’re repeat patrons strictly for quantity only, not quality. It’s a good place if you just want to overfill your stomach after a day of shopping at nearby Beaver Valley Mall and its just too early in the day to visit a real restaurant. If you visit just stick to the main courses and avoid the fruit/desserts.
