Green People Cleaning

I was underwhelmed for the considerable cost. They came in with something like a crew of 6, and when I realized the cost was going to be $ 35/​hour per person, I started getting a little nervous. The owner saw my expression of fear and reassured me that it takes the same time for 1 person to clean as the entire staff: «If it takes 1 person 4 hours, it takes 4 people 1 hour» was the rationale. Well, these 6 people took 1.5 hours. That would calculate to 1 person taking 9 hours to complete the job. Yeah, that math doesn’t work. I’ve had my house cleaned by many people over the years, some who did an incredible job, and it’s never taken NINE HOURS. My fault for not getting a quote up front… won’t make that mistake again.
A point for them being able to take on the job quickly — I asked the day before and they came the next day, and they did a pretty nice job cleaning the house. But for that many people cleaning for that long, and for how much I paid, I should’ve been able to eat off every surface. I wiped one of the countertops in a main hallway and came up with dust. Also, once I got up to my bathroom I found a knick-​knack that had been dropped and broken, and just clumsily shoved back together and put on the shelf. I don’t care if accidents happen, but be honest about it and tell me, hey sorry, this broke. And I did see the ladies chatting a little more than I would have liked for the rate I was paying.

My family and myself were home the entire time and had girls talking on the phone and sitting around instead of getting the job done in a timely manner. The woman in charge even had to make a comment to one of the employees. I was given an over the phone quote and when it came down to it, she charged me much more than was quoted (at the end of the cleaning, didn’t say a word during the walk through). House was by no means dirty, I just needed major things cleaned like bathrooms and floors. I was very happy with the job they did, but for the price and time it took (especially with a team of 4) no way!

Cat and her team did a decent job cleaning my place, but I couldn’t help thinking that for the price $ 30/​person/​hr (and she brought four people!) I could do better. When I complained, Cat apologized saying her team was tired the day they cleaned my house, but then went on a rant about how there was no way I’d find a better price for a licensed, bonded and insured service. I did and am thrilled with their service — not giving their name out though because they’re already really busy and I don’t want them «getting tired.»

I found Cat on here and asked her to come later that same day to clean the house we had just moved into. She was very flexible and professional. She prioritized her team in order to get everything done before our furniture arrived. Her price was very reasonable and matched the quote she gave me on the phone earlier that day. I would definitely use and recommend her services again.
