Cold eggs, cold hash browns, slow waitress and they weren’t busy. Normally decent food. Not today. Won’t be back.

This place was busy so I decided to not pay attention to the Unilocal reviews and give it a chance. Mistake, waited 20 minutes to get my order taken. I went with the sirloin tips, sweet potato loaded, and salad bar. The tips were so small there is no way they can make them medium rare and it was the smallest portion of tips I have ever had. The sweet potato was good, bit was charged 1.50 for loaded when menu said a $ 1. The salad bar kind of scared me. Truth is I left hungry.

I can’t imagine that this place could ever rate more than 2 stars anywhere but that would still make it one of the better places in Monett. Food is ok, atmosphere is completely lacking, service is passable it might be the best of a bad lot

RECENTCHANGESMAKECLEARMANAGEMENTISNOLONGERINTERESTEDINPROVIDINGTHECUSTOMER A GREATEATINGEXPERIENCE. First they stopped the long standing policy of having customers pay on the way out at the cash register, permitting a customer to leave when they desired to. Now customers must wait for the waitress to handle payment of their bill and to bring the correct change back to the table. Most of the time the waitress is too busy to make paying the tab a quick and effortless task. The last straw came recently when management decided to remove the napkins and condiments from each table. Now the customer has to wait for napkins, ketchup, mustard, etc., to be brought to the table, Spilled food or drink(common with youngsters) becomes an even bigger problem and the food gets cold; all adding to the stress of what is supposed to be a pleasant eating experience. The rationing of napkins and condiments is contrary to the claim the«customers are valued». It is obvious management just returned from a seminar devoted to cutting costs. Management would have been better served by attending a seminar that focused on improving the customers dinning experience with emphasis on keeping loyal customers. My family and friends are no longer convinced the Angus Branch is the best place to spend our time or money. We suspect a general price increase in also on the horizon and if true will validate our conclusions.

Great ribeye on the thin side but very flavorful. Mediocre service…(had to ask for silverware after watching my salad sit there for 10 minutes. Extensive salad bar(Yay!!) Kind of a diner atmosphere. They must have spent all of their budget on the exterior of the building. Cheap tables and chairs. Not bad but def not upscale.

My family and I ate there again last night. Salad bar was full of fresh choices and had a clean presentation. Ordered the teriyaki chicken, it was tasty and filling. Enjoyed a few drinks too, they don’t skimp on anything. Service was great and our waitress was personable and attentive to our needs. We’ll be coming back again!

Good strip steak, good fried shrimp, average salad bar. Only glitch was an order of French Onion Soup that came out topped what looked like a piece of cheese right out of the fridge. Service was accommodating. They keep a lot of senior citizens happy which is no small task.

Last night was our third trip to this restaurant. Our previous visits have been average but the service was very friendly and the restaurant is clean. There are not many choices in this small town. I ordered a prime rib French dip with au jus. When our very nice waitress put the plate in front of me. I almost laughed. The sandwich was obviously cold. The au jus was really gravy and the prime rib was either not prime rib or it had been microwaved into being unrecognizable. There were two little pieces on a rather large roll. The meat was dry and I could not chew it. When our waitress asked if I wanted a box, I advised her that it was horrible and I could not eat it. While she was extremely nice, she clearly did not know how to handle this issue. She asked if I wanted her to tell the kitchen. I advised her that she should as they should know of the problem. She cleared my plate and we never saw her again. Finally she appeared after we had stood up to leave and she handed me our check. I asked her if they expected me to pay for the sandwich. She advised that I had to speak to the manager about that issue and they were not available at the moment. I advised her that I would be paying for the meal but would never return. No one seemed to care. By the way my husbands ribs which were the special that night were dry and tasteless covered in what tasted like a off the shelf bottle sauce serviced with watery cole slaw and average tasting beans. Awful experience. Next time we need a bite to eat I would much rather eat at one of the local fast food restaurants.
