Let me tell you why I’m sad today: I found out that the Sunflower Barn is closing its doors. I remember the first time I found this place. I was so excited because inside this quaint barnhouse was a menagerie of all things cute and adorable. It was always warm and a delight to roam around finding birthday and Christmas novelties for my friends. The staff has always been incredibly friendly. Things I have purchased at the Sunflower Barn include: + Fake tealights(for my mother, because she does not like fire) + Bath salts, shea butter(in about a billion different scents), and lotions + Beaded bracelets, acrylic bracelets, earrings, etc. + Cards, books, insignia stationery + PENS! + Decorations, ornaments, gem-shaped paper weights, rhinestone-encrusted miniature mirrors + A variety of hot cocoa mixes + Salt & pepper shakers + ID holders + I always WANTED to get a chandelier, but they were too expensive And the absolute best part of this place was that it is located in Monmouth, or at least very, very, very close to the populated area. But alas, apparently the owner wants to get out of retail. I can’t blame her, looking at the economy right now. But I sure am sad!
