I have to say, my hair cut from Abby at Temptd is the best cut I have gotten in YEARS!!! Even my bedhead looks good! I don’t know how she did it but she absolutely nailed it for me!
I also must tell you I am rarely moved to do reviews because I hate to take the time. So this is a big deal for me to write my thoughts out here. I think I will try to do more of this. Anyway, upon arriving at Temptd I was greeted by a friendly front desk person, the same person who took my appointment call earlier that day. Check, super nice front desk person. Second I waited for my appointment, I think she was running a little late, but I never have a problem with that because getting you haircut should never be rushed and I get that. Abby greeted me and we began the usual task of trying to determine «what to do.» I had come prepared with pics from pintrist. I pointed out cuts I liked and why and ABSOLUTELY «please not this pics.» I wish I had before and after shots of my encounter with Amy because if ever they were pertinent, it would be now. Amy took her time with me, I am certain it was putting her over for her next appointment but she was focused on me and my needs at this time. And if ever you are the one waiting, just put a sock in it. A stitch in time as they say. Back to the hair cut. What can I say, I have told the same things to many a stylist and they got me to a better place hair wise. Abby just plain nailed to to the max. I am very happy, very happy, very happy indeed!!! Abby I hope your days are filled with every good thing that can come your way!
And that’s what I think about my experience at Temptd. Oh and the products are not insanely expensive so I bought two items.

So, I have not had the best experiences going to a new hair salon. Actually 90% of the time I end up upset and devastated. Luckily, I have a my best friend to do my hair, but due to a super busy schedule and last minute thought of «I need to get my hair done before vacation», I could not make our schedules work. SO, I searched online for Madison Salons.
Upon my search I came across Temptd on Unilocal.I called to see if they had appointments available. I was on a strict schedule with only 2 nights that would work with me. I ended up with a appointment with Megan. After scheduling my appointment I came back to Unilocal to read the reviews… to be very honest I was skeptical that 2 reviews were from NY. But I decided there were other good reviews on here all though none were for my stylist– which was scary but I kept the appt.
I am SO GLAD !!! I walked in to an upbeat salon, was offered a refreshment while waiting. Then I was offered again at least 2x times while in the chair, finally took them up on some water. When I got in the chair I explained what I was looking for, with in a few mins Megan was back mixing color. I had magazines and conversation available.
Upon my foils going to be rinsed out I was offered a free paraffin dip, which was a nice touch. When getting my hair rinsed out I received a wonderful relaxing shampoo. When I was back in the chair, I received a little neck massage before/​after my cut (can’t remember when but it was excellent). Then we finished with my style. When I made the appt I didn’t even realize that if you tell them you found them on here they give you 25% off your first service :) Which is awesome, to me it says that the owner believes 100% in her employees and that you will return.
I highly suggest this hair salon and Megan as a stylist. The only thing that wasn’t so great is the parking.

Been going here since the spring. I have been going to JP for cuts and highlights. She always knows exactly what I want!

Got my haircut and styled today at Temptd and I couldn’t be happier! I moved to Madison about a year and a half ago and have had bad luck with finding a stylist I connect with. I would wait until I traveled back home to see my hair dressser, but I couldn’t wait any longer. I stumbled on Temptd and was reluctant at first because there weren’t many reviews. The few reviews they did have were excellent and I decided to chance it because they were open early this morning. I should note, I am kind of a hair stylist snob, but I really think every girl is deep down inside.
I wanted an experienced hair stylist so I chose to get it done by Jill, who happens to be the owner. When I first got there she sat me down and assessed my hair while having a genuine conversation with me. I could immediately tell she knew what she was doing. Bailey washed my hair and gave me a head massage and neck massage… definitely adds a lot of value to the experience! I really wanted to cut my bangs to be able to push them to the side but because it’s my first time cutting them, I wanted them very subtle. Jill cut them longer and after asking me what I thought, suggested we go shorter. The finished product is exactly how I visioned it! Jill will make your experience awesome, the whole time she was talking to me like she knew me for years. She even taught me how to blow dry my hair with a round brush. I am so happy I finally found my girl and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to find a new, credible stylist!

I decided to try Temptd because I really wanted to upgrade my hair style and I wanted to go to a salon that also offers nail services. Until recently I have been getting my hair cut at a bargain place. I won’t name names because they are fine for what they do, i.e., fast & cheap haircuts. However, I needed to go somewhere that would take a lil more time and give a precision cut because I wanted to go much shorter and get some interesting highlights.
Megan at Temptd did a great job. She really took the time to understand what I wanted (I brought pics) and discuss things like the shape of my face and even skin tone (!). I was beyond pleased with the result. Bonus: Complimentary paraffin treatment for my hands because I got color service.
After my hair was done I moved on to the nail area for a mani/​pedi from Virginia. She did a lovely job and was very gentle with my somewhat sensitive feet (a little bit ticklish).
I would totally recommend Temptd. The space is modern but comfortable, they were all very nice and laid back and they did a great job!

Literally the best hair experience I’ve ever had.
I went to The Ultimate Spa & Salon (now called The Ultimate Veritas) and they completely destroyed my hair. I asked for a cool blond and came out with chunky golden highlights. (think Spice Girls era)
I was flying to NYC shortly after that and could not be seen with that hair.
Temptd was able to fit me in the next morning and saved my hair. I walked out with a full head of blond, exactly how I had imagined, and the experience was great.
I’ll be coming back regularly to get my hair touched up, cut, and taking advantage of their other services.
100% recommend this to anyone and everyone.

The best men’s haircuts I’ve gotten anywhere in town have been from Abbey and Jen. I don’t go anywhere else now. So pleased.
I also strongly recommend Ann for professional waxing (back waxing in my case) and facials. Her facials are pretty much the most soothing thing in town and will clean your pores right out.
Great atmosphere, facility, people and service all around. I recommend this salon to everyone.

I’ve been seeing Abbey for haircuts for about 6 months now and she is fantastic. I look forward to my appointments with her, she’s so sweet and full of compliments. I love her positive attitude and her attention to detail in her work. As a former stylist myself, I was nervous about seeing a stylist I didn’t know but I’m so thrilled I tried someone outside of my previous salon — Abbey’s wonderful and I recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist!

I was directed here by my facialist at Sol Escape, due to her lack of openings. Anne was sweet, thorough, and explained everything in detail without taking away from the peaceful experience. I love the Glow line of products, so this was a good find. Great shoulder and arm massage! My skin was glowing and even days later. reasonably priced for a full hour as well.
