Not to much of a selection and even if you stop there for something in a pinch, be prepared to pay through the nose. Severely overpriced.

I have purchased stone, soil and plants from here. The stone and the plants were both good. However, the soil is of questionable quality. I had pieces of glass, red brick, tile and other objects in it. The pieces were mostly small, about he size of a dime, however I don’t think this is acceptable quality«screened topsoil» for 20 something a yard. It also has a clay like consistency.

My husband and I have tried multiple times to fix our backyard grass — neither one of us having anything remotely resembling a green thumb, or common sense in this area — we had been unsuccessful every time. Our soil was basically sand and needed to be dug out and replaced. We go to Baker’s every year to buy our Christmas tree and last year we had a conversation with them about our attempts with your lawn. They offered to come out and take a look in the spring. Their prices were reasonable, for both seeding and putting down sod. We chose to sod, and although it was a little difficult getting in touch with them to schedule the service, we were thoroughly impressed by the job they did. The mushroom soil they put in was beautiful, and the richest soil we had ever seen — a black, rich color. The job was done in a few days, and I am happy to say we actually have grass in our backyard now. We would highly recommend Baker’s for their prices and their excellent work.
