Great grocery store. Sometimes the deli takes a while but they are hiring so that must be why its longer than usual. The employees are always pleasant.

I stop in for lunch stuff – sushi, salad bar, latest designer potato chip. Nice layout. Place is big and clean. Typical hodgepodge of obese/middle-age/ARC employees. Easy to avoid when I use the self-checkout lane, since the majority of the customers are either too inept to use it or don’t realize it’s there. Which leads to my major complaint. In a phrase: Gray Dawn. During the week there are very few people below the age of 85. Geriatrics with gaping mouths meandering through the aisles with their carts, blocking every conceivable access route. Always getting in front of you and going a snail’s pace. No fucking clue that you’re behind them. On some days I almost feel like knocking them to the floor and stealing their purses full of scratch-offs to prove a point. Previous reviewer mentioned the parking lot. It will take a good 15 minutes to back your car out and exit the strip mall surrounding the supermarket. If you hate octogenarians, avoid this place like the plague that is no doubt collectively fermenting in all their Depends.

I actually like this stop and shop. It’s clean and the employees are very nice. It’s a little disconcerting with stop and shop bc every store has a different lay out so it gets confusing even when you think you know the store. The prices are usually high but when they have a sale it’s usually really good on prices. I like their produce even though sometimes it can be more money than it should be it’s usually fresh. Their hot bar isn’t my thing. I Do Like Their Deli And THEY Usually Have A Good Deal On My favorites. The lines move pretty quick and some locations have the deli order kiosk. Which u place your order of cold cuts, shop n they call you over the intercom when they are ready, which is pretty cool and saves time. They also have pea pod which is shop online, I’ve never used it but I’ve heard it’s pretty decent. They do have selections of many things so ur not stuck between one brand and their brand. Not a fan of their meat, I go else where. But definitely a place to shop.

I stopped in with my two children to get balloons for Mother’s Day. I asked for 6 balloons. The college-aged girl working the balloon/flowers counter took over 25 minutes to blow up the balloons and walked away before blowing up the last balloon leaving a co-worker to finish the order.

If you value your life, be extra careful in the parking lot!!! The amount of senior citizens that are lawfully operating vehicles is terrifying. If you are lucky enough to make it through the lot and into the store, the danger continues. Not only can they not operate cars, they can’t drive the motorized carts either. I literally got hit by a motorized shopping cart!!! How many people can say that??? Besides that risk, the store itself is ok. Prices at Stop and Shop are a bit on the higher side, but I like their selection of grass fed beef. I will say though that on any given shopping trip, there is at least one item I need that is out. It never fails! I can never complete my shopping list. I normally go to this location strictly for my job, since it’s like the only food store in Monroe. Glad it’s not my local grocery store.

Apparently I’m not the only one on here complaining about all the seniors there; Being that the store is situated among quite a few senior homes I would imagine that would be the case; In general though there the crowds are the biggest problem, any day of the week. I don’t even think I’ve seen Saturdays that busy anywhere that looks like the daily there. I hadn’t noticed the prices were that much higher as others had commented, but again I imagine they could do that to people considering they depend on them for close proximity and they’re probably forced to pay it rather than venture elsewhere. As far as the complaints about the deli being a side show, I pretty much see that in most retail stores anyway… and I do know they announce the deli orders over the intercom so you don’t have to wait for your order, you can just pick it up when it says it’s ready…

I cannot stand shopping here. I have witnessed the deli get nasty with not only me but other customers. If you do not tell them sternly to cut your deli meat thin, they will cut it thick. My advice is to check your meat before leaving because even when you say cut it thin they don’t. I swear they have jokers working that deli. Your also waiting a good 15 – 20 minutes on a Tuesday morning, imagine a weekend! All the old people driving make it a mission to navigate the parking lot on which I soar got into so many accidents as well, because they can’t seem to know what they are doing behind the wheel. Just park far away from everyone. They are always and I mean always out of food! There were so many times I went there for something and they were out, especially when they have sales! You need to go the minute the sale starts or your not getting the sale item. I have better luck at the Stop and Shop on 522. And did I mention they are so expensive. I go for convenience in emergencies, but I rather drive to walmart.

Big, nice, safe area. Wide isles(going to need it because of all the seniors) has the self checkouts, and the barcode scanner guns to make checking out fast. Down sides are the prices seem to be a bit higher then shop rite, and there are a ton of elderly people.

My husband and I have been going here since we moved because it is the closest supermarket to us, but aside from stocking brand names Wegman’s does not, and the sales, this is not on my list of grocery stores I would recommend. The produce is often not in the greatest shape, and they are frequently out of organic milk — even when there isn’t a blizzard or nor’easter coming in. But the most important reason I would not recommend this store is that I am frequently charged incorrect prices for items, for which I have to then go to customer service and waste my time trying to get the refund. Just the other day,(and this is my fault for not checking) I was there on a Sunday night and asked for a ½ lb. of turkey with the automated ordering. I picked it up, paid and went home — only to be surprised that they gave and charged me for an entire pound. Having recently had a child, and not being fully cognizant the majority of time these days, it would just be one less hassle to worry about if I actually received the prices they advertised instead of having to be a hawk and watch every single charge and item.

The people working at the deli are in slow mode it’s like having the«slowskis» helping us. As I watch them cut the meat or pack salads they seem to be running on turtle mode. We waited at least 10 minutes. I’ve had better service at Safeway. Luckily I’m just visiting the area.

This location is so central to the large retirement community of Monroe Township and with no convenient competition can ask whatever they wish for their foodstuffs… and frequently do. I shop here only in an emergency as the prices are at times outrageous especially in the fresh vegetable and meats departments. Selection is limited for a major chain grocery and the parking lot is a venue for a low speed demolition derby daily with 90’s era Olds Electra’s and late model Hyundai Sonatas vying for bragging rights. Shop here only if you have to and back your car in to offer a clear view of the senior that is just about to raised your insurance rates.

nice, big, clean, easy and they have the bar code guns that you carry while you are shopping so that you can just check out without having to wait in long lines.
