Bad customer service. I waited over 30 minutes to be served while the owner hung up art work. I was told to sit down as it would be awhile. Awful

I’m in town and it’s friends night out. 129 Lounge every time!
I love this little martini bar located in downtown Monroe. It’s a great location right on the river with patio seating for an enjoyable time! You can reserve the patio for special events too! We were witness to an event being held here. Let me tell you they went above and beyond to make it special for everyone involved. They have an extensive menu of martini varieties. They offer many fruity martini’s as well as dessert style martini’s which is right up my alley!
Matt, our bartender, was phenomenal! If something wasn’t on the menu, he said he could find a way to make it for us. His drinks were strong and delicious! His delightful personality truly made our evening spectacular! He will be more than happy to share his ghost stories that happened at the bar. Very interesting!
129 Lounge is a favorite which I know I’ll frequent when in the area.

I’ve got to give this place some props… coming from Detroit and the multitude of martini bars available in the D and the suburbs, 129 had a pretty nice martini menu. My friends and I ordered a few of the drinks off the menu throughout the evening, and having had a chance to try some of them, I enjoyed everything that I tried. My only complaint would be slow service, though they were busy and apparently down one server and the ooooddddddddd décor. At least it made for interesting conversation.
OOOH! and some props for being able to order in food from neighboring restaurants.

Fun lawyer hangout. Sometimes, there can be a wait for a seat, which is annoying, but the place is local, fun, great service, and you can order food from a couple local places and have it delivered to your table. Reasonable prices and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.

horrible service. Could not admit a fault with their drink or what they called a martini. (unless it was supposed to taste skunky and foul). The waitress was clueless, and they didn’t know the different between cointreau and Gran Marnier. Never again.

This is my sister and her husband’s favorite bar. It’s kinda a dive, so don’t take anyone there you want to impress. Matt is their bartender and he is very creative with making shots-​he has one called the «Irish Breakfast» that tastes like an oatmeal scotchie! They don’t have a kitchen but they will go across the street to the sister bar to get Mexican or regular bar food. They also have a lot of electronic games that will eat up all your quarters and keep you occupied!

Patio in the front and patio on the back over looking the river. Friendly staff and a great bottled beer selection. Not too divey and has a juke box. Parking is on the street or in public lots nearby.
