I have visited Anderson’s Bambooland on two occasions. Both times I have been very impressed by the knowledge of the staff working there, and their helpfulness with my needs. Their bamboo and the farm is beautiful, and based on the upkeep of the farm and their knowledge I felt it was clear they have a passion for this, and they were very good at listening to my needs to find me what I was looking for. Also, I met both of their dogs and neither of them frightened or intimated me during my visit, their dogs were very friendly and I wouldn’t have mentioned it if it wasn’t for the other review on here. My question is if you aren’t a fan of dogs, then why not just call ahead and say I’m thinking about coming by but am a little intimated by dogs, how can you help me with this? I would definitely recommend Anderson’s Bambooland for anyone looking for shade or privacy, or beauty in their own garden. I also feel so much better supporting our local economy and a family run nursery over going to some chain store, and their specialization in bamboo makes them experts in this field, instead of other stores where the staff is expected to know a little about lots of plants. Also, I should mention I am not related to the Anderson’s of Bambooland — it is unfortunately a very popular last name.
