Duck and Dressing is a surprisingly chic little boutique. My friend insisted we go because she wanted to buy something and see if the owner Korie Robertson(of the Duck Dynasty family) was there. We looked around and my friend even tried on a few things but found the prices exceedingly high. The items she looked at ranged from the high $ 200s to mid $ 300s for separates and dresses. We were pretty much leaving when a vintage style polka dot skirt caught my eye.(it even had the crinoline netting underneath). I figured it would be out of my price range, and was quite pleasantly shocked to see it marked A reasonable $ 65. It fit beautifully and I’ve received tons of compliments on it. The store is eclectic since it carries everything from Monroe tourism T-shirts to cocktail dresses. It’s a cute shop and worth popping in if you’re nearby because you never know what you’ll find or who will be in there from the Robertson Family.(Rebecca Robertson was there when we were there). I will say there is a strong scent in the store– a woodsy scent. It could come from candles but I also noticed hand carved scented soaps for sale and that could be the origin of the strong scent too.

While visiting my parents and wanting to hit some local boutiques, we had to stop here. Everything about this store set-up was perfectly thought out. The store front is so cute and the inside is awesome. The clothes are adorable, but most are highly priced due to the name brands they carry. If I had the money to spend I would have walked out with a new closet. The cashiers weren’t the most welcoming or helpful, but it’s not a deal breaker. Oh… and I saw a tip on here that someone said the candles were too strong. I greatly disagree. I didn’t think there was a strong scent of anything in here!
