Parking okay. I’ve never had a problem. Food tastes great and a simple menu. Seating capacity is small but if you are a group smaller than 10 you should be fine. We eat here often because it is so close to work. My reason for a 3 rather than 4 stars is the quantity of food for the amount of money spent doesn’t leave me feeling happy. The portion sizes could be larger.

Don’t eat the brisket, Just picked up a pound of brisket to go, got home thought it was pulled pork, stringy, no flavor, consistency of day old dark meat turkey, medium sauce was like mild taco bell sauce, threw out ¾ of the meal, should have eaten in restaurant, would have asked for a complete refund. disappointing!!! I called and left my name and number for manager,(update) two days later: no call from manager

The BBQ is exceptional! The staff is great! Lulu catered our wedding this past Sunday and did an amazing job helping us! Ribs, pull pork, nachos, everything is delicious. They have a life long customer! Thank you, Lulu and Staff!

I came here for lunch take-out. I had the Southern. The sandwich was seasoned perfectly, as was the coleslaw. I loved it.

Don’t believe the negative reviews. Just shared a rack of ribs and a brisket sandwich. They are excellent. Beans are solid choice as well. Best ribs in Seattle area in my opinion.

Excellent BBQ Ribs! One of the better kept secrets on Monroe. The sweet sauce met my liking; however, one might prefer the medium because it’s a bit tangier Service by Vanessa was excellent and informational in explaining the menu options. Albeit a bit pricey, still well worth the cost for great BBQ Ribs. The cornbread is just like baked at home. We will be back for more. Thanks!

Fall off the bone, melt in your mouth deliciousness! I love being able to add my own BBQ sauce so you’re not being overwhelmed by sauce. Great and quick service. We well be going back!

The ribs and pork were pretty good, but the Mac & cheese tasted like it came straight from a box… That’s a big fail for bbq joint in my opinion. Also, the bbq sauces were blah, and seemed to vary bottle to bottle. I think the rib are good enough for a return visit and hope they work on refining the sauces & sides.

Definitely a fun place to be in. Brisket was delish, and aside from that. The rest was not memorable. We felt it was way to greasy. We might not come back because greasy food just don’t appeal to us. But I won’t discourage anyone from trying this place.

Good little find on our way home from Lake Serene. I had the combo plate for $ 12 which was one rib, shredded beef and pork. Serving size wasn’t two bad, my buddy got four ribs for like $ 10 or so. Decent dry rub nothing too special but impressive for a small town joint in PacNW. The sauces were actually pretty good, four or five choices. Good not great sweet tea and overall a satisfying meal after a day hike. The décor is weird as hell and the service was odd but I kind of expect that in a small town diner like setting. I wouldn’t stop there again, there’s another BBQ joint that’s rated much better just up the road on an old bus at a reptile ranch… I know, but the food must be rock solid with a setup like that!

Giddy up is pretty darn good. The owner and her daughter are really friendly. They have 4 sauce choices: sweet, medium, habanero, and mustard. I like all of them. The pork sliders are amazing. They have a slightly spicy rub sprinkled on the bread which is unique and tasty. I really like their genuine sweet tea which is hard to find in the Northwest. My only complaint is the potato salad was a little runny.

Food was delicious. Here is a tip though, if you order the baked potato to go, put tooth picks through the top of the Styrofoam! The portions were a little small for me, im not overweight by any means but i can eat a lot. i ordered the sampler for 1 and a baked potato and im still a little hungry, but BBQ is not usually cheap. Especially when it has this home made quality. It was quick to which is a necessity for me as i only get 30min for my lunch break

Great clean bbq! Everything was super fresh and left you feeling great afterward. Great service and the stuffed/smoked jalepenos were amazing.

This is a decent little BBQ place in Monroe. It’s a small, cozy little house converted into a restaurant. The service was good. The food was decent… not the best BBQ I’ve had, but also definitely not the worst. Pretty reasonably priced too. They are also a part of the FiveStars program(rewards card program for restaurants in the area).

What can I say, I love this place and I’m so glad that work has me back in Monroe so I can enjoy it more often. I get the pork sandwich(my appetite decides if I get the ¼ pound or ½ pound), corn bread and a brownie, usually. I’m not big on super spicy food, so I stick with their sweet sauce. Between it and the dry rub, my meat is flavored perfectly for me.

Being from Texas where BBQ is a competition, this joint ain’t bad. We love what we call their ‘cowboy’ beans. They have a great smokey bacon flavor/taste. Cold slaw tastes fresh and not mushy. I really enjoy their ribs and the spice rub they put on them. My husband enjoys the pulled pork and brisket w/their dry rub seasoning. If you’re not sure what you want to try — they have a great sampler which you can get for as many folks as you like — it’s a great mix of what they have offer. The BBQ sauce is served on the side and comes in varying levels of spicy. We seem to like the medium sauce … but if you like it hot try their habanero sauce. We usually order ‘to go’, but they have a modest dinning area which is very casual. T-shirt and jeans welcome.

Went on the the BBQ hunt and my first stop was Giddy Up in Monroe. Tried their rack of ribs and found them meaty, nicely seasoned and moist. The seasoning made the ribs enjoyable without the sauce. But add the sauce(had both mild and medium) and it was a whole new level of flavor. The true test of a BBQ joint is the ribs followed by beef like a brisket or tri-tip or whole pork roast or pig. I never go for the chicken or any pulled/chopped pork or beef. Why? You need to be able to see the smoke ring and that is when whole meats like brisket and ribs are sliced. Giddy Up had a light tho unnoticeable smoke ring so most of the flavor was from the seasoning and less from the pit smoke. But it was still good BBQ. Service was pretty good and courteous. Not bad for Monroe.

I wasn’t sure about this place after reading all the bad reviews. A friend of ours swears by their ribs so my fiancé’ and I decided to give it a shot. We tried the meat sampler for two. Now everything but the ribs came shredded which we weren’t used to but once we tried everything it was wonderful! We liked it so much we have gone back two more times. The ribs are amazing. I’m sorry others had a bad experience, but it has been consistent for us.

They sold out of rib tips(more 3 hours away in smoker) when I went, so I had the BBQ baked potato with beef. The beef was kind of a pulled beef as opposed to the chopped brisket many of us would expect. Presentation was pretty fancy and came with a big cornbread wedge. Sauces on the table were very good and I appreciated the honey squirt bottle for the cornbread which was delicious. The potato itself was pretty small, definitely should use jumbo sized russets IMHO. For a roadside stop on my way to fishing, this place is pretty good.
