This outlet mall is sad. It was thriving back in the 80’s when my parents would take me and my siblings there for back to school shopping. I stopped by this outlet mall a couple weeks ago. I wanted to get my daughter some spring clothes and I knew Carter’s was still open. It was depressing to see how vacant and run down this place has become. Carter’s was very nice and there were other people in there shopping but the rest of the mall was a ghost town. I think there was only one other store open in the strip of stores with Carter’s. Across the way was some sort of store that was closed for the day and a Dress Barn. I drove around on the cracked and pot hole road and found a Levi’s outlet but that is it. Everything else is boarded up. I’m not sure how much longer the remaining stores will make it.

Soo sad! A long time ago there were so many stores here, like Mikasa, St. Julian’s Winery Tasting Store, Socks Galore, the Bass Store, Kay Bee store, etc. There were two large buildings crammed with bargains. Nowadays, there is a Dress Barn, a Levi’s outlet, and some stores I’ve never ever heard of. The place is choked with weeds and cracked pavement and reeks of failed enterprise.
