Horrible experience. Limp, soggy, cold pizza. I had called ahead and asked if they deliver and if 5 pizzas would be a problem. The young woman who answered the phone said it wouldn’t, I thanked her, and she said ‘no problem’. After waiting two hours with a house full of guests, some of whom were offering to drive to Franco’s or Country Pizza, the delivery guy showed up. He was nice and very apologetic, but offered no info on who the owner is, just ‘Mike’. I’ve called to speak with Mike, but he’s never there and doesn’t return calls. JULIAN’S SUCKS!!! It would have been acceptable(even admirable) for Julian’s to admit when I first called that they were slammed and could not reasonably produce 5 pies and deliver them in a digestible condition. But no, they took my money and ruined a casual dinner with friends.

Tried Julian’s for the first time tonight &I definitely don’t think I will try it again. Got two large pizzas and between three of us we ate only three slices. Never gotten such undercooked pizza before. Brick oven pizza is our favorite, we’ve gotten it from a lot of different places but this one was definitely the worst. Really skimpy on the cheese as well.

I live 4 miles from this place, pizza always arrives cold, not luke warm, cold. My wife and I would preheat the oven just to be ready when the pizza arrives to bring it back to life. Not to mention a $ 2 delivery charge?! What is this communist Russia? Plenty of other pizza places in the area.

While the food was itself acceptable, it took over two full hours to arrive. I understand being busy, but two hours is beyond excessive. When I placed my initial order, I asked to my total and was out on hold for ten minutes while they answered other calls and finally gave me my total. The disorganization was incredible. When my food finally arrived to feed my children, again TWOHOURSLATER, my order was incorrect. I called back to tell them my order was incorrect and instead of apologizing, they said well you never placed an order for that so we can put it in now and charge you for it. This is possibly the worst delivery experience I have ever had and I will never be ordering from here again as well as warning everyone I know against it.

One of the better slices of pizza I’ve had in awhile. Had great flavor! I was not surprised that some of the reviews were critical of the service, however a new staff member waited on me(it was her first day). I’m looking forward to going back

One thing I can say is that Julians pizza is always consistently very good. Hadn’t been there in a while and decided to stop in for a pie. It tasted as good as always. Very good chewy crust and sauce. Nothing fancy for dine in eating but worth the trip. Can’t comment on delivery problems as we have always eaten in with no problems.

There are only two good things about this pizza place. The brick oven and the pizza sauce. Most everything else is generic and bland. But the pizza crust and the pizza sauce are heavenly. That is why I keep coming back. The service is what you would expect at a pizza place, that happens to also sell meh food. This is not a restaurant. This is more like a pizza stand. This is a place where families come when they are too tired to cook dinner at home. Go for the pizza. The eggplant parm is ok. Skip everything else. Or let me know if you found another gem in their menu.

Being we live in NYC full time and keep a home in CT — we are always looking for pizza that is as good as you get in the city. VERYHARDTOFIND. Then we found Julian’s in Monroe. Ordered many times and was always pretty pleased. Until this last time. Arrived at our CT home(after 2 hrs of traffic) and immediately ordered delivery at 6pm. 7 pm rolled around so we called & was told by he girl that is on its way(we are less than 3 miles from them). 20 minutes later called back and was told delivery guy may have had another delivery to make on way and should There in 5 minutes. 8pm rolled around called again and was rushed off the phone. 8:25 delivery guy pulls up. I was very nice and ask when he left the shop to deliver to us. He said«5 minutes ago». Needless to say I turned him away with the food. I called and asked to speak to Mike the manager — the girl never covered the phone when she turn to get him & I overheard her Story about who was on the phone. The manger Mike said — tell him I’m not available. It’s matter of principal to me now. My kids waited 2 hrs and we were lied to every time we called to ask where the pizza was. The manager Mike didn’t care at all and the girl on the phone was a total liar every time we called. Ended up having to order somewhere else 2 hours later by the time my kids are it was 9:30. I’m seriously considering calling the owners of Julian’s directly. Monroe a very small town and I’m sure they won’t be happy that the people running the show there JUSTDONTCARE It felt like I was dealing with a bunch of teenagers ! Pretty insulting to say the least. We will NEVER order from a Julian’s again. Not because the food isn’t good but because the attitude and the service this one time was so Insulting that I refuse to do business with them again. I’m hard to believe that there wouldn’t be any others in this area that have had similar experiences. Pretty amazing

i would give this place no stars if possible. short and to the point: pizza is ok but when we complained about a delivery order problem whomever answered the phone copped a up in face attitude with us and really showed us they do not care. the delivery service was lousy. this is one place my family steers clear of from now on !

My favorite pizza in the state. They deliver locally, and have a small seating area. Just avoid dining in during hotter days, it becomes unbearable from the pizza oven.

Ordered a small spring mixed salad two large pizzas off their«new haven style pizza» menu: The Manhattan and Grandmas Pizza. I am told 45 minutes. I arrive in 40 minutes. I am overcharged $ 4. Had to correct the cashier(probably an honest mistake) but still argued with me for a few minutes saying I was wrong. Finally she agreed to credit my debt card. Get home(5 minutes down the street). Pizza is cold, not even warm. Pick up a slice it literally falls apart due to slimy dough and tomatoes which were sliced waaaay toooo thick for thin crust pizza. Tomatoe pies need to be well done! Both pizza’s were exactly the same, and I mean as in ingredients(even though they have different names). I might as well have ordered 2 of the same pizzas. Called back to inform them of my dissapointment and I am asked to bring the food back and they will make me new pies. This doesnt work when you have to wait another 45 minutes and you have hungry children. Just offer me the same thing I ordered for free next time. Not like you are going to resell or eat my pizza if I bring it back right? Everyone makes mistakes, I understand. But pizza is pretty hard to screw up. Based on the rest of the reviews here and hearsay around town, I think its pretty safe to say this isnt a «go to» pizza joint. My advice: Stay away. Monroe doesnt have much to offer in terms of pizza but If I had to order a pizza in Monroe it would be from Jennies or Carl Anthonys.

A brick oven thin crust pizza with a nice chewy base. Pizza tends to be crisp and you might get a bit of a burned crust which can aggravate some. Flavor is OK but I find the toppings a bit on the skimpy side. A good veggie pizza should be buried such that you can’t see the slice but here the veg is, to my opinion, far too light. The sausage pizza comes with small crumpled sausage bits. However, if you are a fan of crispy slices and a not overly salty pie then you will be a fan. I have to admit that after eating this pizza that thankfully I wasn’t up all night drinking water due to the high sodium content which is my fate with most pizza.

Visiting from out of town and ordered take out. The order was delayed and screwed up, which I understand is quite normal. That being said, the pizza was excellent once we got it. This place could be really great if they got their act together.

I love me some brick oven pizza, but this place is sadly just average. Ordered a take out pizza(that’s it) and it took well over the 20 mins they claimed it would take. Waited in the restaurant for an additional 10 min and then when we got home, the pizza was fairly cool in the center. They also charge for delivery, which I’m not a big fan of.

I always order the Manhattan, and it never disappoints. Fresh sauce, fresh mozzarella, topped with fresh basil, and then baked in a brick oven. Delicious! The service is sometimes rude though, it depends on who you get.

For the 3rd time in about 20 attempts Julians leave me and the kids without food after a hour and 45 min wait only to call and find out the oder was screwed up. Then, as if they have no brain, they offer to deliver ANOTHER Large pizza as if MORELATE food will help! No mention of comping the delivery. No mention of a gift certificate for future tries. Nothing. I love their pie, but they simply cannot run a business like this with a better than 10% failure rate. Simply crazy.
