Very funny ladies that help run the store and I love the teriyaki from there.

I love this place. I have tried many teriyaki types, and this one is at the top. The quantity is perfect, it has a real salad, and the staff is friendly. My only recommendation for the shop is, on call in orders, don’t tell people you are next to your competition«Papa Johns.» Say Staples or At&t.

The Teriyaki is good but what shines about this place is the sushi rolls. Do your self a favor and stop by for some you won’t be disappointed even if your use to umi or nijo

Absolutely amazing food. My husband and I are very picky when it comes to sushi and they always make it perfect. They are also very friendly and always welcome you with a smile and hello.

We used to like this place but last year there was a problem. I called and I ended up talking to the man there who yelled at me and denied that there could be any possibility of getting wasabi on the sushi I ordered(but there was something spicy on an item that I didn’t expect or want it on). We stopped going there for a long time. We decided to give it another try and went in a few times. About a week or so, I went in and I ordered a side salad along with other items, something I had before. This time there was so much black pepper in the bottom part of the salad that I couldn’t eat it. I called and he yelled at me again. I gave up and hung up the phone. He called me back even angrier than during our discussion I had given up on. When I got a chance, I told him that he had lost a customer, and then the phone went dead. He then called back again and talked to my husband. He said he didn’t care about us as customers and would call the police if we came in again. If you still want to eat at this restaurant heed my advice: If you have a problem there, don’t bother to try and discuss it with them as you will be blamed for the problem!

Monroe doesn’t have many options for sushi so we’re very lucky that we have a great place like Kami right here in town. The food is terrific and the people are always pleased to see you.

This place by far has the best teriyaki and sushi in town. Sometimes the wait is a bit long but well worth it.

I came into today after a grueling 2 hours of clothes shopping that made me HUNGRY! I’ve been in here before, about a year ago, and it was ok. I ordered chicken & pork teriyaki. It came with the standard rice & «salad»(chopped head lettuce, with a little carrot, in sort of coleslaw dressing). With a fountain drink it came to just under $ 12. The lack-luster cashier/server/bus person insisted on asking cooks about my request. I simply wanted less rice and a little more salad. Oh well, it was a-ok. What not was A-OK was that I waited 27 minutes for my eat-in lunch. Granted it was a bit busy, but YOWZA, that’s long of a wait! I would like to say the food was well worth the wait, but meh, it was just okay. Meat was charred and edges were hard, rice was to be expected and salad as well. Afterwards I asked 3 times for a big box & a bag. I got a small box and no bag. It took so long I ordered a strawberry bubble tea to wash the after taste of the charred meat. It took 15 minutes! I am sure sorry I tipped $ 3& some change when I paid BEFORE I got my food! TIP: don’t do it until the END of the meal ;-)

I get food here every Tuesday, my work from home day. It’s so good! I get the best of both worlds with chicken teriyaki and sweet N sour chicken(that has a different/unique flavor than most sweet N sour)

I love this place! They are always friendly and very consistent. I always get spicy chicken teriyaki and regular teriyaki. I like the spicy chicken more, but its very very spicy! Beware! But other wise it is a delicious place. I would definitely recommend it!

Every time I head in to Kami, they do me right. Watch out for some of the traditional things you might order, like General Tso chicken… They add garlic to many common dishes that aren’t normally done that way. That said, their spicy food is actually spicy and their sushi is pretty amazing as well. The Katsu Bento box is also a great mix for the first timer.

When I moved a couple months ago I was sad to leave my favorite teriyaki place in Burlington, but this place has become my new favorite place for teriyaki! It is delicious every time I come here… And I come often. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that like teriyaki.

So the best part of this place is waiting. Yes. waiting! They give you pot stickers to munch on while you wait! I get to go here a lot and it’s just the little things like free food that keep me coming back. The gal that works the front counter is always so nice and fun to chat with. Highly dig em!

Love this place. I always eat the sushi and order the salmon sashimi. The sashimi is great, I don’t know why it’s so good but I’m a huge sushi fan, I eat it everywhere, and this is really good. The husband and wife that work ALLTHETIME are very nice, very hard working. I go all the time. Probably support them myself:-).

Very decent teriyaki place. Considering there is many bland places around. Thery are the only ones open on Sundays! Nice service, plates are not to big, no to small. Very tasty overall for a quick meal.

This small restaurant on Highway 2 offers great japanese food, sushi and a nice cozy asian atmosphere in a small strip mall. My craving for sushi was satisfied here. I had the pork teriyaki and several types of sushi. If you’re up in Monroe and you’re craving sushi or teriyaki this place will satisfy you. The lady at the counter could have been friendlier but maybe it was just me… hehe.
