They will have it on display and may even advertise it, but not likely to be on the shelf. Worse since the economy tanked. Hardware is the worst department in the store — empty bins where even the basics of nuts and bolts are no longer stocked. Lumber is hit or miss — and requires time to sort through the junk for usable boards. Clearly, someone with MS Excel sits in a cubicle and decides what we need — and what we don’t. Nice staff and most seem willing to help or find someone who knows how to answer questions. Unless it’s the basics, I keep driving down the road — or order it online.

Just bought a paint sprayer, ladder and a bunch of paint for my house. About half way through my project, the hose started leaking. I brought it back to store and they swapped it out no questions asked. Then I got back to work and before I knew it I needed more paint. Got to Lowe’s and I could not remember the color. Austin, the manager worked with me to find out what I got the day before and personally mixed it for me right away. Great customer service. I am glad that I kept doing business with Lowe’s after a bad experience once before. They did fix that problem also. A+

Four months after buying a high-end dishwasher from this Lowe’s, we are still waiting to have a functioning dishwasher. We should have known from the moment we tried to make the purchase. It literally took two hours for the staff to figure out how to purchase a dishwasher they had in the Lowe’s flyer but is not a regularly stocked item. At one point, I was thinking it would have been faster to drive home and for me to go on-line and do the purchase. The nightmare started with the installation. As we came to discover, the installers are only contracted by Lowe’s to do the work. The first guy came, said he needed a part and never returned. We had to reschedule the install. The second time the installer did a no-show. We finally called to find out what was up to be told that he was probably running late. Later, we found out he had called in sick. The third installer finally got the dishwasher in, but instead of installing a new drain line(which we had paid for), he used the existing line that was built into the wall. After using the dishwasher for a week, we ended up getting an alarm code that the machine wouldn’t drain. Out came the installer again, put in the proper drain line, and the dishwasher no longer worked properly. We were told that it was in warranty, but that we had missed the 30-day return policy. After a nice conversation with the store manager, a new dishwasher was ordered. Oh, but it doesn’t end there. The dishwasher was supposed to be in on Dec. 22. When we called, we were told it was just being loaded on the truck and should be at the store on the 29th. It did arrive on the 29th, but now we have to wait until January 6 before the installer returns. I’ve bought many appliances in my life. Most times I’ve used small independent retailers because they’ve had a great price. I’ve always had great service from the smaller guys. One even upgraded my dishwasher to a better one at no cost because the one I ordered was back-ordered. I’ve significantly curtailed my spending at Lowe’s in Monroe in favor of Home Depot in Snohomish. But honestly, I think I’ll buy my next set of appliances from the smaller guys.

«Some Assembly Required» is an old Indian phrase that means 6 hours, 66 curse words, and call an electrician. Thankfully they have installation programs for many of their big items which is great for people that have a do it yourself disability like myself. The store is organized and clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They may a bit pricier than the Homes Depot in Woodinville– but the cutomer service is better.

As Lowe’s goes, this one is above par. I used to work for a great store manager at the Aurora H.D. so I’m a little biased, even though they fired me for a B.S. reason. Stupid corporate politics. Anyways, I would give Lowe’s a better rating if they filled their out of stock merchandise in a timely manner. I’ve been waiting on 36″ bifold track kits for a month now and every week that I come in, I see the same two boxes that have been opened but have everything except for the track. I’ve brought these same boxes up to the returns desk and asked them to check inventory so I can purchase 2 boxes that have everything in them. The say no and advise that they’ll remove these boxes to the warehouse and order more yet I see the same 2 boxes every time I come back. The other reason I can;t raise their rating is the same issue with almost all chain hardware stores. No service. I’ve waited in a department for over 45 minutes with no help from the department associate. They were paged, paged again and paged some more. They weren’t on break and there was no return call when called on their walkie talkies. One time they lost on $ 120 sale because I wasn’t able to have one item that was up in the overhang so I just left. Overall it’s a clean store and the associates are friendly so yay for that.

This place is super clean and the employees are super nice. As a female, I am something lost in hardware stores.(I’m getting better though) I also not worried about asking for help here because I know that they won’t treat me as «a dumb girl.» Keep it up!

After receiving great help from another Lowe’s location, I was connected with Head Cashier Kali at this location. Kali was very helpful and ensured that the items I wanted were found and shipped(at no cost) to me within a few days. Thanks for the great help!

I purchased a custom-made security screen door from Lowe’s. I paid $ 300 for the door, $ 40 for measurements, $ 36 for the hardware and $ 110 for the installation. I had to wait over 4 – 6 weeks for it to be made, so when the guy came to install it, I was very excited. Shortly after getting there he said we have a problem. The door will only open about 2 feet, due to an arch in our front entry. It wouldn’t work– I was so upset. He took the door and left. A few days later I recieved a letter in the mail and a FULL refund reciept from Lowes. They returned the door, the hardware, the installation and measurement fee. I’m impressed. I was worried I would have to go in and talk to a manager and try to get my money back! But no, they handled it for me. Thanks Lowe’s of MONROE.
