Since Luigi’s reopened this past year the inside remodeled looks great but the food isn’t the same and they are over priced. Staff is blah isn’t like it used to be…

Just recently reopened. They really spruced up the restaurant /pizzeria. The décor looks modern and spacious. There’s 2 parts to Luigi’s, the pizzeria, where they handle the take out and there is seating for casual diners, and the restaurant itself, where there’s about a dozen tables or so. I can only comment on my one takeout experience which was a positive one. I ordered a small order of garlic knots, large plain pie, and Pollo Bello with penne pasta. For the most part everything was delicious. My daughter loved the pasta dish. It had chicken and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. She said it was her most favorite pasta she’s ever tried. I thought it was decent. The penne was extra. Usually comes with spaghetti or linguini. The pizza was pretty good. Not too thin and not too thick. Just enough sauce which was pretty good. Only thing is i wished the crust was more crispy on the bottom. Definitely one of the better pizzas in Monroe, which isn’t saying much. I grew up in Brooklyn. The garlic knots were delicious. Size was good, soft and full of pieces of garlic. Definitely would comeback again.

Chicken sandwich was 8 bucks. It was really big. My wife ate half and gave me the other half… to bad the roof caved in, but they’ll reopen eventually and I’ll be back

When I first moved here this pizza was great. About 5 years later, I refuse to eat their pizza, because it is gross.

Ok pizza, all business not very friendly. They are second string and have a few other places before them when ordering pizza. A few years back I accidentally order a pizza from them but went to the other pizza place to pick it up. Tuff day at work and not thinking straight, They actually called me up and complained. I explained to them that with a young family where we both work and kids I messed up and apoligized. Instead of accepting my apology he asked me «so what am I suppose to do with this pizza?» At that point I was going to really tell him what to do with his pizza but held back. For one pizza, he lost a loyal customer. have not ordered anything from them since. How about a reply, ok no problem and use the pizza as slices to go?

Over rated, overpriced and unfriendly staff… Go to Villa Laura down the street, way better.

A 3.5 star only because Luigi’s Pizza used to be much better up until 2009 or so. Not sure if it’s the cheese that changed over over the past year or so, but definitely good Pizza. We continue to order, but I miss the old flavors. Delivery times are good, price is reasonable(not cheap) and their Pasta selection is great! By the way, they do have table services.
