Know as the Ellis branch of the Monroe County Library System, this building was dedicated in 2010, so it is state of the art as far as libraries go. This library is located on the shores of the River Raisin. During the early spring, you can see the sugaring taking place at the nearby Navarre-Anderson Trading Post. The site is a beautiful place to observe the changing seasons in Monroe. The accommodations are excellent and there is a separate children’s library. There are many cultural events that take place here, such as jazz concerts, movies, etc. I’m glad I found this branch of the library!
