Monroe Multi-Sports Complex

After going here regularly for several years for indoor soccer and occasionally ice skating, things kept going downhill. The place was never cleaned or maintained. The new field turf they put in wasn’t cut right and put in by community service labor that left large wrinkles and gaps near the walls. The work staff seemed to be a revolving door of incompetence. I registered for an indoor soccer league in October 2014 using their new online system, but I received absolutely no notification from the complex. I called many times, and every time, I seemed to end up talking to someone else or transferred to a voice mail. The league ended up being canceled, but I wasn’t even informed of that in a timely manner. And, my refund could not be issued since no one seemed to know what happened to my $ 70. After two months, several phone calls and visits, I actually had to go through my bank and have the charges removed from my account. I will NOT be going back here anymore unless they turn that place around (and someone else goes there and tells me that).

I don’t know when an ice rink turned into a bounce center but its pretty sad. They never had very good seating to watch games but it is just an ice rink. I used to skate here all the time for drop in and leagues. Now it seems like no one ever shows up and the ice time is limited. It has gotten dirty and it seems like a bunch of kids run the place. Hope they can turn it around.

This is not the first time there, I hope it’s the last because this place is filthy! As you walk up to the front entrance, there’s garbage overflowing from the trash can and it’s not like they were short staffed because they had employees standing behind the counter trying to sign people up for their club. The seating is a couple of folded chairs on a balcony, so I suggest you bring your own chair or stand for an hour. To get to the balcony you need to take the stairway and that’s where they haven’t vacuumed or mopped probably since it was built. Hope someone there reads this and takes the initiative to clean that place and buy some benches!
