Decided to try the Chicago style pizza based on the reviews and was a bit disappointed. It’s essentially two pizzas, one on top of the other. Not even close to a Chicago style pizza. It did taste alright though. I also got a garlic Parmesan bread and there was very little butter and no Parmesan and the bread was paper thin. I’ll give there regular pizza a shot, but my hopes won’t be high.

A real hidden gem. This is a GREAT Pizza place. One of my favorites now. Tried this after seeing it on Unilocal here. You will be surprised, definitely not what you expect from a Mobil gas station. Not skimpy with the toppings and sauce, great flavor. The price is great also, $ 5.99 for a two topping large round. Only knock I have is the online ordering has been down for a bit. Give this place a try, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

What a hidden gem. The Chicago deep dish is heart attack heaven. Salads are clutch. Also any kind of hooch in any size bottle. A slum millionaire’s dream come true.

I had a pizza here for the first time. It was pretty good with extra cheese pepperoni and mushrooms. Deep dish of course. Surprisingly good for pizza at a convenient store. Would have never stopped in if I did t see it on Unilocal.Worth trying and only $ 5.99 can’t beat the price. I thought I misheard when I was told the price.

Love this place, they have built a loyal customer out of me. I only buy my gas from them and most times I walk out with a slice or even a whole pie! Great pizza and whatever those rolls are! Not to mention they have a great selection of beer and booze

Ordered large pan pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni as well as an order of mozzarella bread. It came to around $ 13 total. It tasted worse than high school cafeteria pizza. No exaggeration. The sauce, cheese, and bread was gut wrenching. Anyway you slice it, it was foul. The other reviewers must know absolutely nothing about good pizza.

I am not as patient as some of the other reviewers. I grabbed a pizza roll while getting some gas and HOLYCOWYOUPEOPLEARENOTKIDDING. These pizza rolls are SOGOOD. I got your standard pepperoni, but they also had chicken/bacon/ranch in the display case. They also had Chicago and regular pizza too! They have a ton of craft beers(I think I counted 3 different Founders beers) and everything you would need– snacks, drinks, etc. Can’t wait to get some of their pizza in the future, this place is bangin!

I’ve been wanting pizza so bad but been trying to fight the urge. I wanted to be a good little girl and stick to a gluten-free diet. I went to Unilocal just to read the reviews on places in Monroe, not intending to buy, just for reference, mind you. Visions of pinwheel pizzas twirled thru my head at night, but by day I was good! However, today was the day I caved in. I was working on the website all day and couldn’t resist the siren call. Having tried Tiffany’s and Buscemi’s and some other places around here I thought I’d take a ride over to Telegraph and find this place, the Monroe Pizza Kitchen. I left the house dressed in a PIB hoodie and grey sweatpants. I didn’t stop to change for fear of losing my nerve. Since I wasn’t wearing pjs, I was in what I call my «Monroe formal». The Mobil gas station/convenience store/pizza place is next to the KFC, in case you are driving as you read this. The place is hopping with people buying gas and lottos. I couldn’t figure out where the pizzeria could be. It says on the vinyl crawl going around the building they have some, but my hopes weren’t high. The store is filled with all sorts of stuff-car fresheners, pet food, groceries, lots of snacky items, etc. I walked the perimeter and found the place to get pizza. One corner of the counter has a glass case with pizza by the slice. Thinking that that wouldn’t be the best way to judge the pizza, I asked the man behind the counter if I could order one fresh. He said yes and it would take twenty minutes. I had the time and really needed a break from the computer so I said that would be fine. I ordered the $ 5.99 special with two toppings-pepperoni and mushrooms. There is nowhere to sit but you could go back to your car and wait. I wanted to wander and see what’s new in snack food. Did you know that they make Combos in Buffalo Blue Cheese flavor and Seven Layer Dip flavor? Doritos makes a rolled up Chile Limon flavor for a shape shifting change. They had M&.M’s encased in a chocolate bar, the equiliviant of cement shoes for candy. You could spring for 10 for $ 10 mini wine bottles or an Icee or go with something harder like Crown Royal. I picked up some Cherry Coke and a roll of paper towels, plus two Lotto tickets… I watched people come in a get pizza by the slice. Good deals– you could get two Chicago style deep dish slices for $ 5. or $ 2.59 a piece. The also had subs and sandwiches. Pizza was ready soon and I paid and went back home. It was a seven mile round trip(sweet) and I went back to relax and enjoy. Took pictures(of course-I Unilocal, therefore Iam), and sat down to enjoy. The crust was rich and pillowy and butter and so fresh. The mushrooms were generous and the pepperoni didn’t have gristle and grease. It was a high quality pizza and it was made with love. So good!!! Eight big slices for $ 5.99. It would have cost me $ 6.99 for a frozen pizza and this one was fresh! Stop by and try! I know I want to go back for the deep dish! Get some gas, some Combos, some mini wines, and make a night of it!
