I love Newk’s for lunch but you better not be in a hurry because they are so busy. That just lets you know that their food is great. I have Newk’s for lunch at least once a week. I love the Newk’s Q. It’s my favorite. The white barbecue is to die for.

My main issue with this location is the customer service, or lack thereof. The people taking the orders just seem to have a bored vacant look in their eyes. They won’t ask how they can help you, you have to ask first and hope you aren’t bothering them. The food came out super fast and the Shrimp Remoullade salad was huge and delicious. The brocolli cheddar soup was creamy and cheesy.

I cannot find the newks for ruston, so I’m writing it on Monroe. Same chain though. The first time I went to newks I had an enjoyable experience and great food. However, the last two times have been awful. Both times I have had hair in my margarita pizza. The first time I let it go and just didn’t eat the rest. The second time(tonight) I did take-out and found a huge hair when I came home. In addition, I paid for extra basil and and tomato. You can barely see any basil at all and only a normal amount of tomatoes. Nothing extra that I paid for. I decided to call to voice my concerns. The managers reply was defensive saying that there’s no way there could be any hair in my pizza and didn’t address the extra charge. Customer service is the main concern now. Just plain rude to infer the customer was lying when I’m not. I threw the pizza in the trash. Waste of money.

Just so so. Nothing we got matched the descriptions on the menu. 5 cheese mac and cheese that was Luke warm and had unmelted cold shredded cheese on top. They can do better if management cared!

Some of the freshest food in town! Newks is quickly becoming a staple here in Monroe. You will receive fast and friendly service, with very tasty food every time. The restrooms are clean 100% of the time. I’ve actually never seen them in any type of state of uncleanliness. The food is the draw here, though. Quite a few different concoctions of sandwiches, soups, salads, and pizzas. Their caesar salad is honestly one of the best in town! Don’t forget to grab a package of the crunchy bread sticks to enjoy with it. One of my personal favorites is the Spicy Shrimp pizza. If you’re hungry enough, you can eat it all in 1 sitting, but if you’re getting a side of any kind then there is plenty to share! Their«To Go» area is laid out well and gets you in and out quickly. One of the better options for lunch in the area!

I love Newk’s! Their food is so fresh and tasty — wonderful salads(the remoulade dressing is delightful), soups, & sandwiches. The strawberry cake is fantastic. I go there just for that.

Great place for quick pick up. I’m a fan of their Newk’s Favorite salad. The flavors are good, the chicken is fresh, and it seems healthy. I’ll return again and again.

This quick café is very delicious and surprisingly quick for a sit down joint. There are salads, sandwiches, pizzas, soups, and a small selection of desserts. Their BBQ pizza is very good. Every staff member is very polite and helpful. They have complimentary crispy breadsticks, pickles, and variety of peppers to choose from while you wait for your food which doesn’t even take more than 10 minutes usually.

I am in Monroe, from out of state, as part of the staff of a national pageant. Today I, along with many of the delegates and staff, placed a to-go lunch order from Newk’s. I ordered the Cobb Salad. I am somewhat of a Cobb Salad devotee. I am almost ashamed to admit the I gave serious thought to licking the container clean. The absolute best grilled chicken I’ve ever had in a salad. I also liked the variation of adding pecans to the mix. I’ll probably order from them again this week. I head the Chicken Salad Sandwich is delish!

The food was ok, but the service needs a tremendous amount of work. First off, the cashier used the drinking cup as an armrest. When we told her we wanted another cup, she said«I aint gone give you dat one». Then later, the waitress brought out the food and said«Dis yawlz?» What was the purpose of the number they gave us when we ordered? Also, we were the only people eating there at the time. Who else would the food be for? One other thing, two of the employees were sitting a few tables over not working or anything and they were so loud, it sounded like it was herd of people making all the noise. It was very disturbing listening to all that and trying to eat. This restaurant needs a personnel change. They need major lessons in health and safety issues, how to be courteous, how to act in a manner that is not offensive to customers, and even in basic English skills. Apparently they are used to working at McDonalds or somewhere where these things are not needed. I halfway expected the phrase«You wont cheez on dat?» after each item was ordered.

Newk’s Express Café features a simple menu of «fresh tossed» salads, soups(selection differs daily), «toasted» sandwiches and pizzas(10″ individual size). Any of the above items can stand alone as an entrée or you can opt for one of the following combos: salad/soup, ½ sandwich/salad, or ½ sandwich/soup. Sandwiches are dressed with mayo, spicy Creole mustard, romaine lettuce and tomato(other toppings like onion, pickle, etc. by request) and a whole sandwich comes with your choice of a side: fresh fruit, coleslaw, pasta salad, «Tippah County» caviar(which is simply cold blackeyed pea salad) or bag of chips. We ordered a SIDECAESARSALAD since we were hungry but wanted to wait for our friend to join us before ordering entrees. The salad was served quickly and the first thing I noticed was the large hunks of bright green romaine lettuce perfectly coated with creamy-looking Caesar dressing and home-style herb croutons. My husband, who is not a fan of Caesar salad, LOVED the perfect blend of creamy-tangy-garlicky dressing. I ordered the Chicken Salad(chicken with pecans and grapes) toasted sandwich with fresh fruit as my side. My husband ordered the Spicy Shrimp pizza(without roma tomatoes). We each ordered a fountain drink(one size only) and were given a 32-ounce plastic reusable cup to fill at the fountain/tea bar. The CHICKENSALADSANDWICH: I was disappointed by the scant amount of chicken salad in my sandwich. The taste was fantastic, especially paired with the spicy Creole mustard, melted provolone cheese on a warm toasted roll. Again, my only complaint was the chicken salad portion size, but taste was great. The FRESHFRUITSIDE was certainly a fresh mix of sliced strawberries, cantaloupe, grapes and pineapple. I was pleased that it wasn’t some out-of-the-can concoction. I think the best item was my husbands SPICYSHRIMPPIZZA topped with broiled shrimp, roasted red and yellow bell peppers, chili oil, fresh cilantro, mozzarella, parmesan cheese and crushed red chilis. The crust was thin and crisp, not soggy. The pizza surface was a bit oilier than he expected but was a sign that they used real cheeses. He absolutely loved the combination of flavors. We would recommend this place and will return to try other menu items in the future.

A new deli type place that serves sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza, and desserts. The atmosphere is clean and casual with a slightly upscale feel. There is a nice outdoor patio seating area as well. I recommend the Italian club, steak sandwich, and the Newk’s Q, although all of the sandwiches are good. Pizzas are good and big enough for two people to share. They have a good selection of soups that rotate depending on the day of the week; I love the chicken tortilla and the lobster crab bisque. They also have a «grab and go» area where you can get sandwiches already made and wrapped up to go; they also have their soups, sides, and salads to go. I like this place; Monroe/West Monroe needs more soup-and-sandwich type places like this.(Panera, are you listening?)

Sandwiches are smallish, but absolutely delicious. Try the Newq’s Q, the white sauce is amazing. And the cakes are incredible, particularly the coconut and the strawberry. I’m typically not at all a fan of frosting, but theirs is so light and creamy that I didn’t scrape it off like I usually do. This place is a mob scene during weekday lunches, so if you’re wanting somewhere on the quiet side to carry on a conversation in your inside voice, this might not be the best choice.

Being a fairly new chain restaurant which chained off of McAlister’s, its a pretty decent lunch eatery. This establishment has a open and laid back aura with an «upscale» touch. For lunch we had chosen: –Grilled Steak with Fire Roasted Tomatoes Soup: this grill steak sandwich is nice and tender, and the touch of cream horseradish sauce gives it a nice bite; the fire roasted tomato soup has a nice, light, and hearty touch that makes you stomach warm. –Newk’s Q with Broccoli and Cheese Soup: a grilled chicken sandwich with a «white bbq sauce» that just melts in your mouth with a broccoli and cheese soup that so cheesy and delicious –The Debra Pizza: On a thin crust, grilled chicken breast, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, roma tomatoes and pesto, to me this pizza is only mediocre at most. This pizza was dry, and was not flavorful to me. Overall, I would come here again, just because there is such a big variety of sandwiches, soups, pizzas, etc. I gotta eat them all!

White BBQ Sauce??? Really??? Yes, really!!! You definitely have to come and order yourself a Newk’s «Q» Sandwich. What’s even better is the half sandwich and cup of soup combo, which cost only $ 7.50. My lunch today consist of the Newk’s «Q» sandwich. The unexpected combination of grilled chicken breast cover in white BBQ sauce and then top with applewood smoked bacon and Swiss cheese completely filled my mouth with excitement. Yes, it was that delicious. I pair my sandwich with a cup of lobster bisque soup top with buttery croutons. My boyfriend had the Spicy Shrimp Pizza. The roasted red and yellow bell peppers were sweet and delicious which balance very well with the chili oil and crush red chili. Even though the pizza was delicious, both my boyfriend and I love the Newk’s «Q» sandwich. Newk’s was just recently open in Monroe so we only ate there once. We’re now no longer Monroe resident, so I really hope we can find one in Dallas.
