Kimmy at desk was nice and cheerful. A manager named Bobby was rude on phone and when I was in lobby checking in I saw her just sitting there and her staff was struggling to answer phone and check people in. Didn’t do breakfast or social, but enjoyed that it was offered. Neat little fire pit with comfy chairs I could grab a quick smoke. Hotel needs updating. Room was okay and typical of a Residence Inn. Close to airport.

Was working in Ruston for a couple months and after 2 horrible weeks at the HIE in Ruston I moved to Monroe R.I. for the remainder of the time. I was kindly greeted as a Platinum member, upgraded, and received bonus points and welcome gift. Rooms were nice, comfy, and clean — Pool area was nice, and all what you would expect from a R.I. The property is located in the mall parking lot with free parking. Restaurants are near by(some walking). I stayed here for 5 weeks with no problems. Rooms were under $ 140 a night and the property was well kept up.

There are not a lot of quality hotel choices in Monroe, but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly and efficient at check-in. The room was clean, updated and quiet. I was visiting the University of Louisiana, and the location was acceptable — but I know the area and knew that convenience to ULM was not this hotels strength. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Monroe

As Residence Inn’s go, this one is pretty lack-luster! The clerk was casually dressed and had a knit hat on(must have been cold behind the desk!). That casual, unprofessional attitude carried throughout the stay. Guests allowed dogs to run without leases in the corridors and there was never any hot coffee in the lobby during non-breakfast hours. The management also allowed a family to occupy the gate house for a private Thanksgiving feast so that area was off-limits to the rest of us. They invited the desk staff so they were pretty happy to enjoy the celebration. Guess we will drive past Monroe on our next trip!

Decent place for a stopover on a road trip. Staff were great and breakfast was excellent as well with lots of options. That said, hotel is older and looks unclean. Some is age, but there were signs of general disrepair. Overall it was comfortable.

Convenient location next to the mall but noisy. This is a decent Residence Inn that has only 1 drawback. It is located across the street from a busy train line. It tends to get very noisy when the train passes by. Luckily, noise does not both me and so I slept soundly. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to stay at the Courtyard which is on the other end of the mall.
