I should preface this review by saying that there was nothing wrong with the course itself. It’s a beautiful course, well kempt, not too easy or hard, very playable, and quite nice! My chief complaint, however, was in regards to the ranger/course attendant. I have never experienced a more rude, impatient, unreasonable ranger in my 20+ years of golfing. I hosted my brother’s bachelor party and we started out the day with golfing. We’re all in our thirties, professionals, and all different skill levels. This was a laid back group, but for whatever reason this attendant had it in for us. Unfortunately, he was rude from the very beginning, telling us we were late when we weren’t, and setting a tone for what we hoped would be a relaxing, fun morning for most of us who flew back to Monroe for the weekend. A few holes later, he started«stalking» us, waiting around and watching us, and then addressed the leading parties and told us to play faster, that we were playing too slowly, and holding up the rest of the players. When we asked him if we could let others play through, or what we could do, he just barked that we needed to play faster. Ironically, when our front group reached the next tee, they had to wait for 5 – 10 minutes for the group ahead of them. This happened another time or two, where he just stalked our group. Now, I certainly understand a ranger needs to keep the flow of the course going, but anytime I have ever been addressed by a ranger, there was never any attitude or problems. But for whatever reason, this guy felt he needed to be rude and that’s a damn shame since many of us flew in just to celebrate and have a relaxing day. Apples to apples, there are more courteous places to golf in Monroe, like Green Meadows. Shame because the course is really beautiful, and I’m confident that this rude gentleman doesn’t reflect the rest of the staff, but it was just so frustrating and pretentious, I have no interest in returning.

I was at a golf outing and while I felt we were going at a brisk pace the course attendant followed us around telling us we neede to move faster, while no one was behind us. It was so bad I felt we were being harassed. There was a coney bar along the way and we stopped for about 3 minutes to get a couple hot dogs and a beer and he went out of his way to tell is we needed to tee off immediately. He wasn’t friendly in any way and as the owner of a sevice business I would never allow my employees to treat customers the way we were treated. It took away from the great cause we were supporting and the fun we should have been having. He was a miserable person and shouldn’t be allowed to interact with customers.
